Eliwan, that's terrible :/

I got a message from Bandai Namco today:

Hoping for a good one but after seeing yours... :/

I'm waiting for an answer from Namco Bandai ITA.

I asked to have a beautiful statue, not the same as previous.

I spent money to send her to Milan for replacement.

Now I know that probably all the statues are painted horribly.

The solution is to have new statues, and painting them as serious professionals.

But this has a cost that surely will not want to support.

I am considering giving my statue CD PROJECT, with a letter of protest.

Every time I look, I feel nervous.

Because of his painting, this is the ugliest statue that I have never seen a collector edition.

I couldn't agree with you more. It's so incredibly awful. I was absolutely heartbroken when I saw the statue for the first time especially with how wonderful the statue looks on the box it came in! CDPR has got to step up and make this right. This whole thing is completely unacceptable.

Disappointed by this story I asked Namco Bandai ITA turn to PR CD to request the replacement of my statue with something different including The Witcher 3 Expansion Pass.

I look forward to your suggestions, but I'm sure that all the statues have the same problem and that the replacement does not solve anything.

- 80-90 euro value for the statue (so it should be)
- 10 euro shipping Milano for replacement
- Receipt of a statue equal to or worse than the first
- Now I spend again money to send her away (10 euro minimum), because done so, I do not want.

Total funding: € 100-110.

I say no more.

Just got my replacement statue and what a massive, massive disappointment it is :/ It's even WORSE than the first one!

- Geralt is painted even worse, lots of splashed paint with less attention to detail - they haven't even attempted to paint some of the details & there's what looks like a fingerprint in one spot
- His ponytail hasn't been glued in properly so there's a gap where it joins his head
- The sword doesn't fit properly so it's sticking out at an angle
- A large chunk of the front of his medallion is missing & they've just painted over it anyway
- There appears to be some splashes of what looks like glue on some parts of the statue

Will upload pictures as soon as I can.

Ok, some photos.

Geralt's blade not fitting correctly (this is as far as it will go, it also clashes with Geralt's ponytail, Geralt's ponytail not glued in properly leaving a gap.

Geralt's face actually looks a bit better in the photo than it does in real life (unfortunately I have to use my phone's built-in camera which isn't great - this was about the best shot I could get). Also shows Geralt's half-missing medallion, the splashed paint, heavy overuse of shade, and some of the details that haven't even had any attempt made to paint them. If you pay attention to his left gauntlet you'll notice some white splotches - this appears to be glue.

As I said, it is useless to ask for replacement.

They should completely redo all the statues, to redraw properly.

I proposed The Witcher 3 Expansion Pass and other small things to get the refund of the amount spent.

We hope in the good heart of CD PROJECT

The terrible thing is that I own in my room the statue of The Witcher 3, and that of Ninja Gaiden 3 Multiverse.

I mostly blame uDock for this fiasco; they clearly have next to no quality control and don't seem to care either. They obviously *do* have the ability to make great looking statues, as the prototype looked amazing and the promotional samples given out to reviewers & store managers were also of very good quality. However when it came to the final product to be included with the CE it's clear that they put close to no effort in and just didn't care about quality. In future I will be avoiding anything that uDock has any involvement in.

Has anyone emailed CDprojekt since they got their replacements to let them know they are still as bad quality wise?
It seems stupid that we are spending so much on what they claimed would be a premium product and then the replacements we got sent from dissapointment of the first batch are still as bad as before?

My replacement was just as bad as the original AND it was missing pieces. No sword. The thing is I didn't want a replacement. I knew it would be just as bad. I also don't want a refund. I want what I freaking purchased!! I have emailed the collector's edition email again regarding this matter and how it's NOT been taken care of. I'm going to forward that same email to Marcin I think.

Has anyone considered any legal action (or something similar) yet? Seeing it was false advertising for a premium high quality statue that was not as promised. There would be some legal flaw here, as the problem has not been resolved. Refunds are not being offered and the main company is palming it off to the distributors. And when replacements are offered, they are from the same batch a botchy statues. When you ask for a replacement, it is meant to replace all the flaws in the previous piece you received. Hence a replacement. Maybe those who are being refused refunds (Or even replacements for that matter) should look into further action? Im not sure if its even possible, but might be worth looking into for those who are really upset about not getting their money back etc.

I agree with somethings said here. Like CDPR should offer the expansion pass to those who bought the CE or something similar in an offer. Its time to just be the bigger company and deal with your fan base/customer base, then deal with the distributors/manufacturers yourself.

Mine came today, looks a bit like adamhm replacement with maybe slightly better paint job. my medallion. is a bit deformed too but, hardly noticeable, but other than the medallion its OK,the ponytail is closer to the sword than my original, but just clears so ok, no where near the quality of those provided to the press/reviewers but is acceptable.

mine also came with sword and a tail,so was complete, but looks like it was opened before as the sword and tail bag was opened and 90% of the tape missing on the outer packing.(checked before shipped maybe? )
all in all im happy it arrived unbroken and is of a passable quality and looks no worst than the others ive seen (excluding review and press versions) as my original was a joke with bits missing, glues drips all over it and was covered in air bubble holes and even the silver writing on the base half missing!!

So a Big Thank You to Marcin for replying to all my many emails and contacting Namco on my behalf and Namco for the replacement.

Tip for Namco: Communication !!,don't ignore emails or leave it weeks before replying to you customers, nothing winds people up more than being ignored or left hanging.
Anyhow took almost 2 months but finally im happy
Thanks again.

PS:
i hope and pray you other guys get satisfaction soon.has been way more stressful than a simply replacement should have been

I do not want this statue.

It will never be as I expected, unless you make it new.

I hope to have PASS, and another thing that I asked for replacement.

I spent 110 euro for this, if not reimburse want to have something equivalent to the expenditure incurred.

p.s. The only consolation: Namco Bandai Ita has always been very friendly and professional.

Just a shame that it has not checked the quality of the new statue, turning only the package received from the manufacturer :(

If yours is acceptable then it can't be that much like mine... the paintwork on mine is atrocious, with lots of splashed paint and excessively applied shade. And then there's the ill-fitting sword, his ponytail not being fitted properly before it was glued, glue splotches etc. Far worse than all of the promotional ones I've seen.

Still, I'm glad you're satisfied with your replacement :) Hope it won't take much longer to get this all sorted out for the rest of us.

I got so annoyed with the paintjob on my statue that I decided to do some customizing (see attached images for results). I basically repainted the entirety of Geralt's torso, including the doublet (was a mix of dark green and almost black splotches on my statue for some reason) and most of the leather parts to eliminate the majority of the paint errors. The face was a blobby mess of red and black around Geralt's eyes and mouth and the hairline was all unfinished, so I ended up redoing most of all that + I gave him some eyebrows and added texture to the back of his head. I also repainted the silver sword (was completely black), added a leather hilt to the sheathed sword on his back, gave the griffin a red tongue and removed the pink stain from his butt, and increased the number of orange feathers in the front. I also tried giving Geralt those dark greenish laces with golden tips on his gloves (as seen here: http://cdn.vrworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Witcher-3-12.jpg). Not sure if I succeeded completely, but I kinda like it. :) Btw. the leather parts are kinda shiny, so they almost look like they have white paint on them in a few spots - it's only reflections.

The sculpt on this thing is gorgeous, too bad they completely butchered the piece with the paintjob. Btw. this was my first time customizing a figure/statue (borrowed a ton of paints from my Warhammer loving friend), so it's nowhere near a professional paintjob but it was a lot of fun and I like it a whole lot more now.

That looks so much fucking better!!!
