this is an earlier piece...the flash tends to harshen the blending and shading on a figure; the shading and blending are a lot softer in real life.

but id suggest a repaint by me would be 1000 times better than what you get in the CE box! LOL

I can understand a downgrade in the game.. but in the figure?
Who was the moron who painted the figures? They are supposed to be "hand-painted"

if your pissed off with it; then seriously; I will honestly repaint for you to the best of my ability! it will only cost you shipping back and forth!
I know there's a huge trust issue with that but the offer is there if you want it.

Am I seeing right in the spanish images that the statue was damaged during shipping? Oh, noooo! Marcin promised the statue will be well packaged

I'd say that's polystyrene, so guys don't worry for that. But I have to admit I'm really concerned about Geralt's face and I've already seen many many photos like that...

The overall painting of the figure is awesome except the most important part (?) I don't understand this. Yes, you will look at it from a certain distance but I think it's pretty normal you like to watch and admire every detail.

Hope we can get an official response for this, my CE is arriving...

I just got mine and I think it looks beautiful, except for the front of Geralt, the face and his chest armour isn't painted very well imo. The gryphon looks awesome though

Well, im also from Spain and my figure doesnt look that bad. Yes, Geralt's face could be better, but its not awful. The rest of the figure is pretty good.

This doesn't look as intended - really sorry about this. Please contact Spanish Bandai Namco branch - they should be able to help you.

If you have any other questions regarding this topic, do not hesitate to contact me via email at marcin.momot@cdprojektred.com.

yep that's pretty abysmal.
the problem is that "hand painted" doesn't mean "with care and attention"
these figures are generally shipped down a line of low paid "painters" who are working at great speed to produce the end result.
usually the figure will get a very quick going over with an airbrush to blank in colours and shading
then very quick detail work on belts, buckles etc etc
then a very very quick dry brush with a highlight colour.

but then again: if you were to paint the figure with care and attention I would suggest a good 10+ hours of work involved!
your looking at:
base colour layers
then shading with washes/ inks
then highlights
then dry brushing
then blending
and each component will require that level of painting to produce a good result. so armour, skin, clothing, belts, various sections of the Griffin.

what your seeing is simply a limitation of the actual reality of producing these figures on a mass scale.
but considering this is a "collector edition" I would have expected a far higher quality than what we are seeing...this is more McDonalds kids meal quality than collectors edition.

Ok I'm from Spain too and in my case Geralt's face is not that bad, it's pretty ''decent''. Surprisingly, I'm gonna show you some images of little mistakes in the clothes and gryphon...

I'd say I don't care, it's not really a problem. A bit disappointed at first but I see it as a minor mistakes... (or at least I want to see it like that)

I'm starting to regret about my purchase. I've paid 220,00 USD - of hard work money - with the shipping costs and it probably will be taxed by customs. I'll be so disappointed if this turns out to be the final quality of the statue, it looks so different from what I've been seeing on youtube, from gamestop managers and partners. My trust in CDProjektRed is being crushed every day a little more.

Mine just arrived(Spain too), and looks pretty much as good as yours but luckily without any painting mistakes. In fact the Griffin and the rock looks amazingly real. The only issue I would indicate is the lack of eyes in the face of Geralt, but the rest is well done.
I think that is a matter of luck wether you get a better or worse one. It´s hand painted after all, humans make mistakes.

I'm trying so hard to tell myself that's the gryphon blood... *Sigh* I guess it's a matter of luck.

Me alegra que hayas tenido suerte, Jack, puedes poner una foto de tu Geralt? :)
