Yep. That's weird. I don't think it's a coincidence, therefore, I'll consider that's a feature.
Its so odd that so many came broken in the same spot. Clearly a design flaw or packaging issue.

of course this has been pro painted; but you can clearly see the quality that can be achieved.
as said: the statues in the CE packs are simply the end result of mass production and limited time taken to create the final paint job. its a real shame.
if id purchased the CE edition and got the quality of statue ive seen I wouldn't be chuffed at all! but then I can and would repaint that sucker asap! LOL
I got my CE yesterday and it has more issues than paint job. Missing parts in the Griffin leg, and many air holes in the statue.

Picked up my collector's edition today. I freakin love it, but the statue is definitely a little disappointing. Numerous little mistakes everywhere. However, I am very glad that most of the problems shown here didn't end up in mine, despite the few errors mentioned before. The worst part is definitely Geralt. The griffon and environment is beautifully made and painted, but then Geralt showed up and ruined it. It seems like the company behind the statues delegated the task of making the Geralt figure to another, less qualified company who simply mass-produced them like wildfire. From some of the images I've seen of the broken statues, it definitely looks like the Geralt figure has been worked on separately from the griffon stand and placed on later. But, like I said, mine isn't too bad and I still love the hell out of it. There is one major annoyance other than Geralt, though. There is a rather large white spot on the tail of the griffin! It looks like it got chipped or simply not painted. The infuriating thing is that whoever manufactured this particular tail placed that little sticker that comes with it over the white spot to hide it. Hopefully CDPR doesn't work this particular company again. Looking forward to playing the game on Friday when I have time!

That's why I never pre-order a game.
Even if the CE has a statue that looks awesome. In the end it never reaches the original quality.
It's called Deceptive Advertising.
In this case the level of false advertising was over 9000 as we can read in the comments.
Even if the game is great. The quality of the statue now is not acceptable IMO.

Seriously, for 120$ premium, this is absurd. Mine is not that bad, but obviously, if it was displayed in a store, I wouldn't buy it... and that's the problem. CDProjeckt promised a quality memorabilia and this is not delivering. I could have done a better painting job myself.

I have a few statues and they usually don't look like the prototype or press photos. So I can live with that. The quality is ok for a ~50 EUR piece (deducting the other extra stuff + game). Let's say...for this money I didn't expect more. Of course I understand the other people who expected more.

So, after some back and forth with the team that took charge of this issue at CDPR (very polite and nice people), they are currently in contact with the publishers, as they are responsible for the figures as I was told. So we'll wait till that is sorted out and they will get back to me. I'll keep you posted!
