combat difficulty

I am ok with the combat, but not thrilled. I, too, find myself watching the flame instead of Geralt.Has anyone tried Hard difficulty? I understand that instead of a flame signal, one is given an audible cue. Is this more realistic? Does it allow you to focus on the battle more? Thanks

There is no cues. In Hard Mode you must watch Geralt, his sword moves. You will see characteristic movement in finishing sequence. Then you must have good timing. Playing on that difficulty makes more fun.

There *is* a sound cue. And yes, I find it to be more realistic, and I can focus on the combat more. Also, do try the OTS view, it helps a lot :)

That cue is a sound of finishing move. So yes, it might be a cue ;)

After trying it myself, I find I prefer the Hard mode as it seems more realistic not seeing the little flame icon. I see the sword itself does flame in Hard, but it looks alot better, and more convincing.

Hard Mode can help to develop your intuition as well as helps to make game more realistic :)

There's still a visual cue .. you click when geralt swishes the sword .. which is when the sword has a sort of golden trail behind it.I.e. you can still react visually to the glint.
