I hope your future language mod fixes these inconsistencies, since they look like one-liners anyway things will move pretty quick. There were also some parts that were not translated, some NPC was speaking but no subtitle appeared, i forgot which one :(

If the GFF/DLG editor tools for NWN and KOTOR worked properly with The Witcher the iconsistencies could be polished off no sweat and then some :) I've had a mess around inside the dialogues00.bif using wordpad and you can get an idea of the structure of the file as all the text is readable and has comments on their context too, just you can't save any changes :-[

Optimized - Act I1. "King of the Wild Hunt" monster entry says that he used the ghost of Leo against me even though no such event has occurred (King of Wild Hunt met me in basement of Chapel, there was no specter of Leo)2. Several stolen items from the Witcher lab in the cave/Salamandra hideout have [dev] tags and Polish text as their names.Act II1. The exit in the sewers has a [dev] tag2. Dryad in the Druid's grove initially asks for a Wolf pelt for sex, but when you come back and initiate dialogue with her, she says "Do you have that Wyvern's egg I asked for?"; giving her the Wolf Pelt works anyway, so this is just a dialogue error. And a general observation...While using the original Polish voices, the subtitled text quite often doesn't match what the characters are saying at all.... For example, sometimes you hear a character's name mentioned, like Kalkstein, but it doesn't show up in the subtitles. Also, sometimes the character is clearly saying much more than what is shown in the subtitles (ie; character gives a lengthy sentence which shows up as "Yes, I agree"). I'm not sure if that's just because I'm using the Optimized version.Professor called "Phed" in Optimized dialogue is really distracting. I understand that it's a play on "PhD", but it really doesn't look right at all to me since the characters are never actually saying that word in the original voiced dialogue; it's also never EXPLICITLY stated in the dialogue that Phed = The Professor, so this can be very very confusing (I know one person who asked me "Who the heck is this Phed guy they keep talking about??")The Professor is called "Magister" in the original Polish dialogue...maybe it would be better to call him "Magister" in the subtitles rather than "Phed".Also, Thaler's use of the word "farking" is inconsistent and distracting. I can understand if "fark" is used as a mild substitute to "fuck", but since Thaler has no problem using "fuck" in his dialogue with you, why does he substitute it with "fark"? I think you should just replace it with "fuck".

Ahh, I didn't realize that. I'll switch to the original.reg file then. Thanks for the tip! :)

Original - General- Flint is labeled "Krzesiwo" in the English Original script, while it is correctly labeled "Flint" in the Optimized one. I apologize if this has already been reported.- "White Honey" is labeled "Honey of White" in the inventory but correctly labeled "White Honey" in the alchemy mixing menuAct III- A door on the eastern side of Vizima in the trade quarter is labeled "Detector" on the map, but in person it appears to be properly labeled.- A townswoman in the New Narakort Inn who tells a story after being given a beer says "tose" instead of "those" at one point when speaking about the Basilisk.- When speaking to Patrick of Weyze, the word "vampire" is often incorrectly spelled "wampire"Optimized - Act III- The fisstech dealer Angus is called "Scythe" in the dialogue, but on the map and in person he's labeled as "Angus", and the Polish voice dialogue calls him "Angus" as well.

Yaron Bolt in the swamps says it wants "5 beggartick", beggartick plant contains "dubledart" in Inventory, "dubledart" plant is called "Bitip" in the swamps.4. BlackBlood/Bindweed potions are called "Eliksir" in Alchemy Formula Panel and Inventory.5. Bindweed potion is named "Bindweedj" in Formula panels6. Bindweed potion is named "Convolvulus" in Inventory7. there are many formulas named "Something:"

Optimized - Act II1. Every time I try to read Ain Soph Aur, it shows the text of the Second Gate; all the information about collecting sephirots is inaccessible2. The Alghoul marrow contract for Kalkstein states that 3 marrows are needed, and when 3 are collected the quest tells me I should seek Kalkstein for the reward. In the dialogue, Kalkstein asks if I have "the 10 Alghoul marrows" he asked for; but he accepts 3 and gives me the reward anyway.3. Yaron Bolt is referred to by some other name, a name that isn't actually spoken in the original Polish dialogue, yet on the map and in person he is still labeled "Yaron Bolt".4. The door to the Trade Quarter is labeled "Merchant's Quarter"; this is an inconsistencyAct III1. When speaking to Jehtro the jailer, Geralt can ask "You look ill, Joey." His name isn't Joey, it's Jethro.

The problem with the sephirot information seems to be due to the fact that Kalkstein now gives you a second copy of "List of Suspects" instead of giving you his notes about the clues to where to find them. This doesn't seem to prevent you from collecting them, but if a player didn't already know where to look it would obviously be a problem.

I noticed that too.Luckily I found the information in the glossary entry on the Mage's Tower; the info on the sephirots ended up there somehow.

You've not been paying attention to the story very well regarding the 'detective' So the dentist is certainly not a bug ;)

Original - Act 2I noticed that the secondary effects of potions are glitchy. Eg I made a wolf potion with dominant rubedo effect but it still shows only as a wolf potion. Create one with Albedo and again, doesn't reveal the effect. Other potions may reveal. The only way I can tell is by drinking them. Also, they're not stackable (because they have different secondary effects). When I switch back to the cut UK English script, it works okay. This is quite a major issue, I'd think.
