Computer cheats on horse racing

Why does my horse always stop randomly every 10-20 seconds? If horse racing was too easy then eliminate this crap from the game instead having the computer have to cheat by halting my horse every so often. What a bunch of stupid asses if you can't script a god damn mechanic right. Weak ass prgrammers have to make the computer cheat because they don;t how to do it right God damn losers.

Let it all out so you can go on with your day.

the only thing i have issue with is the AIs horse never seems to run out of stamina

What saddle you using? I got a 75 stamina saddle and can pretty much sprint the full course. Near the home stretch I start getting low but I will block the npc rider if he gets near me, lol

the only thing bothered me is that for example ( on kaer morhen bridge , my horse stops galloping there ) while the ai horses keep sprinting :D ... I never won that race against eskel :D... because of that bridge rofl

That an flaw in programming, horses intentionally balk when near a cliff, the program isn't written well enough to allow the AI to detect the bridge soon enough, so the horse thinks it;s a cliff and it balks.

Turns out it's the weak ass programming for the 360 controller that causes the problems racing. Keyboard works fine, but controller causes horse to stop after short periods.

Get way ahead get stopped in the middle of the bridge you block the AI and win.

What bother me is the opposite of the OP. These race are too damn easy, or maybe the computer AI is bug.

Agreed, though I think his issue is with the controller goofing up... My horse never stops like his.

I was expecting to have much harder time winning, in fact riding Roache to begin with but that was very fluid and when racing never had a challenge ever and I'm not usually good at such things so...

A question about this though (that I guess I'll find out this weekend as I restart game on harder difficulty) is are they harder on higher difficulties as I never came close to losing except when I turned wrong way and left course ;)

On the difficulty I'm playing if you stop sprinting the other rider(s) seem to slow down also and all you need to do is block them from passing you while your stamina regens.... And in mirror of that as long as you are sprinting so are they so stamina levels don't matter because you don't gain ground by having more...

I knocked a rider of the course once and he got further behind but all other just kept near me the whole race even when I had best saddle.

I'm playing on PC with a playstation controller and at first I had issues with Roach stopping in the middle of galloping for no reason and it was frustrating as eff, but I found that holding down the left analog stick in forward position while holding X to gallop, he rarely stops anymore.

I actually wondered if the AI was cheating at horse racing. I've yelled at my screen more about horse racing than I have combat. Maybe I'm not meant to be a jockey. Lol.
I keep getting stuck on objects like rocks or posts. So stupid.
I'm not great at horse racing controls with mouse + KB. I noticed sometimes the mouse works for left-right movement, other times it does not. Then, I have to use "a" and "d" which seems too sensitive and I end up making a half-turn.

I beat one of them by the entire track once. He got stuck right at the start, he was still there when I came back around :)
