Concept Art from the cancelled Neuromancer movie

So director Vincenzo Natali spent years working on a movie adaptation of Neuromancer but it never came into full production. Now that he lost the rights to direct neuromancer to some chinese financiers (the irony) he released some concept art from the movie.

chiba city

Kaung Grade Mark Eleven penetration program

Sense/Net pyramid

Villa Straylight (inside)

Villa Straylight (outside)

do you guys like it? personally i'm kinda sad this movie won't come out anytime soon
but at least we got the blade runner sequel to look forward to

artworks look nice but honestly i didnt know much about the adaptation of Vincenzo Natal, no idea if it would have been great, after all better no Neuromancer movie instead of a bad one

I personally think the concept art presented in this video would fit better for a Neuromancer adaptation

I like it, it's kinda like how i saw things, tho villa straylight was a bit different... more cowboy beebop fused with a modern supermall/opera theatre lol.

chiba city is about right tho, take hong kong and rapongi. Other places i think of often are like a santa monica distopia (if anyone is familiar with count zero you will know what i mean).

The overall atmosphere that i had with the sprawl however is different, from what i can see there is a dark blad runner vibe however the sprawl i saw in my mind was more grey fog polution type rather then dark atmospheric.

To be honest i don't think a movie will ever do justice to the book for me and the more i think about a film adaptation the more i feel like i would want to purposly avoid it because my book experiance was so strong i would not want to pollute it.
