Well he said "8 core processors" three to four times without saying anything more, I'm just prodding him more to elaborate on what is he trying to prove with thatMaybe, he just does not know much about it. No need to bully him, he's not a moron.
I hope you are right !I would like 1080p on XB1 too, but I also feel that devs will choose the best looking and playable option for each platform.
I wish microsoft gave a shit about this from the start, that stupid kinect was the worst idea ever.![]()
Maybe 900p will look better for this style of game than 1080p in some ways, I saw a video on youtube about this once.
Believe it or not, for some games 900p did indeed look better than full 1080p. I forget the reasons why, but in the end I trust CDPR Team
to do a kick ass job be it 900p/1080p. This game should be intense/good fun to say the least, well I hope it is.![]()
Obviously that big numbers are big! At least that is what I got from it. Maybe one day a console will be released with over 9000 1 mhz processor cores and rule the world!Well he said "8 core processors" three to four times without saying anything more, I'm just prodding him more to elaborate on what is he trying to prove with that
I play on 1280x1024 and no, the quality is shite. I feel like in loony bin - not for long though!Guys, I play with 720p on my pc (I have an 1360x768 monitor). The quality is very good. 900p won't be bad. AC: Unity will come with 900p at Xbox one, so I would expect the with a bigger and more powerful game like The Witcher 3. Only if CD RED makes some magic
I always played my with good quality on my monitor but, of course, a better resolution would be much better. For now I will stay with my old one. To change it I will probably have to change my vga as wellI play on 1280x1024 and no, the quality is shite. I feel like in loony bin - not for long though!
Is 1280x1024 your monitors native res? If not then it's going to look like garbage compared to a monitor where 1280x1024 is the native res.I play on 1280x1024 and no, the quality is shite. I feel like in loony bin - not for long though!
AMD "8 cores" = 4 cores. They can't be scheduled separately, they share instruction fetch and decode stages, they share FPU and a hideously slow L2 cache, the only thing independent about them is they have two integer ALUs.This is supposed to mean something? Is this the new buzzword like "OMG GDDR5RAMZ!"?
We are already aware that the state of multithreading is not great(for understandable reasons) in videogames currently. It doesn't matter if it's 8 cores or 16 cores if the single threaded performance isn't good enough in the current state combined with the fact that it's only 1.6Ghz and AMD has had a sharp quality decline in CPU architecture after the Athlon days.
How so? Are they 2 separate 4 cores?AMD "8 cores" = 4 cores. They can't be scheduled separately, they share instruction fetch and decode stages, they share FPU and a hideously slow L2 cache, the only thing independent about them is they have two integer ALUs.
From the perspective of a person who has played on both consoles and pc (for almost 2 decades) I'd say that 900 p won't be too hard to swallow. The real problem I have with devs that make games for consoles is that they keep insisting with the same bullcrap that 30 fps is acceptable in this day and age. That it's "cinematic" and that "it just feels right".It doesn't.If they would start giving console players the option between choosing a slightly smaller res size to get an fps boost and staying with their "cinematic" vision I'm sure the vast majority will go for the first option, especially fps players.Guys, I play with 720p on my pc (I have an 1360x768 monitor). The quality is very good. 900p won't be bad. AC: Unity will come with 900p at Xbox one, so I would expect the with a bigger and more powerful game like The Witcher 3. Only if CD RED makes some magic
Of course, I wouldn't play on 4:3, if I wasn't limited. Is 1280x1024 your monitors native res? If not then it's going to look like garbage compared to a monitor where 1280x1024 is the native res.
4 "2-core" modules. But the modules share so many components that they are only programmable as 4 unitary cores. This is off topic. How so? Are they 2 separate 4 cores?
ThanksMaybe, he just does not know much about it. No need to bully him, he's not a moron.
Ubisoft is an odd company. Occasionally they'll make something original, but most of the time it's rehash after rehash.Your loss, dude. Then you just miss out on a whole lot of good games.![]()
Yes, please do.And before we stray too much from the beaten path Lord Crash I suggest we take this conversation elsewhere. We can discuss this through PM's if you so desire.
