Connection Refused. Retrying In 10 Seconds Error

Connection Refused. Retrying In 10 Seconds is what I see when I try to download the last part of the Extended Edition.

I have the 2.1 patch installed, and the first two parts of the EE download installed. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Sorry, no clue what to do, have the same exact issue. Hopefully whatever the issue is will be resolved in due time.

I have same issue. I also get an error box that pops up, but has no text on any part of it.

I had the same problem so reinstalled and patched up to 2.0 and it worked fine but then had issue with the pack0dzip that has been fixed in this thread.

Fixed the problem I was having. Instead of updating from the launcher I used the link that is now on the homepage of this website. Edit: It was a quick download, didn't make me re-download the entire thing, just the small part that was left out when you pre-download.

Edit: The Downloader and PreDownloader just want to dl the 10 gb it seems..

i didnt made the predownload, im updated untill 2.0 and getting the single part of the ee take a long time.... nobody found another way to fix the bug?

So I was already updated and had pre downloaded the enhanced edition patch. When i tried to download the rest when they released it, I was getting the connection error from the launcher. I used the big yellow link on the homepage that says "Enhanced Edition Download Now" and it downloaded something, which I then ran and it worked fine. That's all I know, hope it helps.

This is pissing me off. This is my two cents worth of how I feel about The Witcher, The Witcher 2, and CD Projekt.

When the Witcher was released, there were a lot of bugs in the game. Patches were released, and the Extended Edition was released. The Extended edition of The Witcher 1 was so hard to download off of that Polish website that I said screw it, and went to GameStop and bought it. Now we have the same problem with The Witcher 2 - A game that forced me to buy a new video card and controller just to play it. I saw all of the complaints when The Witcher 2 came out. I waited until the 2.0 patch came out before I even bought the game.

Now you would think that a company who has been making videogames for 5 years now would have figured out how to release patches and downloaders and files that work, rather than making me fight The War Of 1812, pass 3 Acts Of Congress, and run around my house 3 times in order to get the download to work. I am not going to buy this damned game again. I don't even like it. I loved The Witcher 1, which is way better than The Witcher 2...I'm going to sit this one out, and hopefully CD Projekt can get it's act together.

I have download the file from the link i have seen a few post ago but now i cant start the game AND it doesn't connect..... aaaargghhhhhh
