Constant Health Drain - No Apparent Cause
Hi there. I wanted to report a possible bug I experienced last night and that I have seen one other possible report of on GameFAQs.
Description of Bug:
The bug is that Geralt's health quickly drains over time for no apparent reason (enemies are not hitting him, he's not poisoned/bleeding/incinerated/etc) until health recovery items are depleted and he dies.
Context:
I was level 1 and on the quest Dirty Funds near White Orchard and had just left the camp with the dead spy. I had already encountered the abandoned bandit camp with all the wolves and had found a note that started the Dirty Funds quest. I had started tracking it. It told me to find the bandits' treasure using my witcher senses.
From the camp with the dead spy, I started to proceed east in the direction the mini map was pointing towards and was walking along a ridge when I encountered a camp with human deserters. The deserters aggroed on me and I think I was shot with an arrow because they were still at a distance. I checked my health and the decrease was large enough that I fled to reassess.
I rolled away and noticed my health was still decreasing at a pretty quick rate. I drank some water and that stopped the decrease. I also ate some bread which regened my health a bit. After these wore off though, my health continued to decrease. I had no effects on me. I had not drank any potions. I continued to eat and drink recovery food for a couple minutes as I ran towards the village. My health was still decreasing. I tried to meditate or save, but wasn't allowed. I ran out of health recovery items and died in a farmer's field.
I think this may have been a bug. I saw a similar report here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/702760-the-witcher-3-wild-hunt/71848047
Bug Reproduction:
I was unable to reproduce this issue a day later. I purposely got hit with arrows from the deserters but the issue did not occur. The GameFAQs poster mentioned a beehive. There is a beehive around the deserters' camp near where I was but I don't think I got stung.
Platform: PC
Technical Specifications:
OS: Windows 7 (64 bit)
CPU: i7 950
GPU: MSI GTX 980
