Constantly needing to repair vcredist_x64

At least once a day I will need to go through and either re download vcredist_x64 or repair it just to get the game to start again. When it doesn't start I will get an error popup telling me that this file is the problem C:\Users\Kyler\AppData\Local\Temp\WERF95D.tmp.hdmp Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? I'm playing on steam if that helps.

I used to have the very same problem with Guild Wars, namely that character animations would get corrupted on a daily basis, and I had to repair to start the game. I also had a similar issue with WoW installation, whereby the installer would crash at the exact same spot every single time. Turns out, I had a faulty RAM module. Changing it solved both of my problems. You may want to try taking out your modules one-by-one if all else fails, and see if the problem persists.

I have had my 2x 8gb sticks for a little over a year, I really hope thats not the problem. I think I have only ever had this problem with chivalry medieval warfare. Why would faulty ram only affect a few games and not crash them all?

Ya still nothing, its now to the point where I can uninstall vcredist and restart my computer and it still not working. It just says running, syncing then nothing. Nothing even pops up in my task manager. When it finally does something I just get an error telling me this file has problems C:\Users\Kyler\AppData\Local\Temp\WEREADD.tmp.hdmp or something like that. I have no idea what to do anymore. I appreciate all the reply's though!

Make Windows to show your hidden files: http//www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/show-hidden-files-in-windows-7/

Go to the folder in question and check if you don't have any .hdmp files anymore.

After uninstall vcredist_x64 from Control Panel completely.

Clean your registry with Ccleaner: http://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
(Run it more than once!)

Install a new set of vcredist_x64 (Microsoft Visual C++)
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14632

After reboot your computer.

Run the sfc /scannow command to repair the system files in elevated dos prompt.

Windows Run -> Cmd (<right click> Run as administrator)

Type: sfc /scannow

Note
: There's a space between sfc and /scannow. Running the sfc command without a space will result in an error!

Restart your computer!
