Am I the only one that thinks the corpo lifepath is the coolest and most desired lifepath, while sucking the most?

I truly wish I could experience more of the corpo life instead of the merc life. In DLC, please give us the option to return to the corpo life.
I'm tired of being dragged through Johnny's indirect revenge story. I get he helped you market the game, but the mainstory was enough of that ty

There's so many angles to take.
We save/ help Hanako, she offers you a job.
You get on stouts good side/romance, she offers you a job
There's a netwatch application shard on your desk
Even maxtec would be cool

Like what the hell is this get forced to off the director, and getting burned in 15 minutes...what? I would have sold Jenkins out in a heart beat

You know why your character's name is V? It stands for Vehicle. As your character is simply a vehicle to drive Silverhand's plot forward.

ALL of the life paths need a LOT of work. There's no content to make your chosen path "stand out" from the others later in the game. At least nothing meaningful.

Oof, I wish this didn't sting as much. Don't get me wrong, I actually really like his story, but I wish V had a bigger focus. I think the real problem is the cut lifepath prologues, if V's story had more time to develop and we got to know all the characters more, Johny would be much more of a cherry on top then he is now.

In a cyberpunk world, no one takes center stage without tremendous sacrifice. I think that may be part of the point, we're all nobodies and if we want to become the "hero" like in so many rpg's we have to make the ultimate sacrafice...

From what I've seen, life paths do not affect gameplay much aside from your prologue and dialogue choices.

And yes, being able to join factions would be nice. Adds replayability if you ask me.

The main problem in my opinion is just this, they focused on Silverhand's story which is nice don't get me wrong but it feels more of a DLC than what Cyberpunk should've been.

In the 2018 presentation you had to choose from 3 childhood idols, Johnny, Morgan Blackhand, Saburo. would've been nice if these 3 were the endgame statuses we yearnd for but with a crude twist.

-Die like johnny in a blaze of glory. (Street kid)
-Become a ruthless high rank corpo but still slave to the system. (Corpo)
-Become the best solo merc but just that, solo, clanless (Nomad)

Or somewhere in the middle.

I still think it's a good game i just hope they learned something from this and we get to see this in a future dlc.

Compared to the witcher where we followed Geralt's path here it was suppose to be our story, our journey, instead we're driving johnny around like someone earlier said.

So much for the major leagues.

You're 100% spot on.
"Oh, you want to be a corporate agent and bend night city to your will for profit? Want to declare war on gang territories because they raided your R&D dept.? How about kidnapping people and using them for test subjects for the latest tech, or assassinating corporate rivals?! Does that sound fun!?

JK, here's the Street Kid life path."

Really a shame. At least you get to sit and stare at those big buildings until your game crashes

When is dlc supposed to drop again? Feb?

What do you mean by "content"? Unique gear? Missions? Unique vehicles? NPC interaction? Technically the game has many of these things already

I thought V stood for:
In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.

I was just a bit disappointed with the short intro... I was kinda hoping for a bit more lead-up and lore building.

But yeah, seeing as you worked for the antagonist, it's odd that there's no tie-in.

Haven't done Nomad or Streetkid but they should've had tie-ins with the Aldecados/Raffens and various gangs in Side missions.

Same could be said about Nomad lifapath, or it's even worse. Since we can't even experience what is it like to be a Nomad. With Corpo at least you feel like a " boss " for 15 minutes. When we experiencing freedom of Nomads in the prologue ?

Both, Corpo and Nomad lifepaths lead us to the Merc Street Kid V. Jackie BFF montage scene and POOF, all gone, we're now officialy a Street Kid ( with Corpo or Nomad knowledge about the world ).

There is no way lifepath wasn't cut short. I refuse to believe it was intended to work like that :)

Yup, it was stated in an interview sometime back that this game will be shorter in story lenght because ppl were (in CDPR's oppinion) angry that Witcher 3 was too long.

No idea where this genious opinion originated. But if they focused on shorter story it could have been more detailed not "Indie 5-man team project" level of unfinished late alpha build.

Yeah, I agree. One of the YouTube streamers named AngryJoe said in a video he could see that there was cut content particularly in the Corpo path because the whole thing between Jenkins and Abernathy wasn't mentioned again after the prologue. I was under the impression that we would get a choice as to whether or not to hand over the datashard on Abernathy or choose to not hand the Arasaka guards anything at all; but the game forces us to hand it over anyway. I'm thinking that maybe CDProjekt ran out of time and cut a lot of dialogue choices/storylines in order to make the December deadline. I'm curious if CDProjekt plans on adding any cut content back into the game once everything is fixed and patched up for the PC and consoles.

I seem to remember Deus Ex: Human Revolution fixing an issue similar to this by re-releasing their game (e.g. Director's Cut) so that players who wanted to be 100% stealthy could be stealthy and have an easier time during boss battles since they couldn't in the first release due to game mechanics not being correctly balanced.
