Corrupted file when updating to Enhanced Edition

In your tech support is link to download and then replace files 0,1,2,8,25,27 but this link IS NO LONGER FUNCTIONAL. Please could you put it right? I really want to play EE but I can not install it.

Use http://en.thewitcher.com/ee_manual/

Note that the files were updated yesterday, and getting a partial set of updated files is likely to fail and force you to do a complete new download.

I have just downloaded all the files and tried to launch it. Unfortunately during the instalation still happens this error "Corrupted file". I tried already to uninstall the game and install again.

I was trying to install EN+PL language packages, just to know.

Have you checked the files you downloaded against the listed MD5 checksums? The files haven't been changed since then, and the checksums were taken from a known good set of files.

I have no idea what MD5 is, but I have downloaded these files today- EE patch and language packages

Yeah, I strongly suggest verifying the files integrity via CheckSUMS

MD5 is a checksum algorithm. It produces a magic number that you can use to determine whether your copy of a file is identical to another copy. It's not the best available, but it's widely used and mostly good enough.

On the PC, you can use tools such as md5summer (I prefer this one; there are others) to calculate MD5 checksums. Then you can compare the calculated checksums to a published list.

You can also use md5summer to verify a set of files against a published list of checksums. If you copy/paste the current list of checksums to a text file, go into md5summer, select the folder containing the files, and choose "Verify", it will tell you whether the files in the list match the files in your folder.

I have downloaded the whole patch 3 times. Two times from the auto updater and one time one the page:http://thewitcher.com/ee_manual/. Nothing. I still get an corrupted file error message. I have also tried to make an crc check. The result is that some files always have the same wrong crc no matter how many times I download them.

Edit:
Part 2 and 24 are corrupted.

As I edited in my earlier post Part 2 and 24 are corrupted. I have made an CRC check on every single file i have downloaded and these two are the only with incorrect crc numbers. Also I have redownloaded these two files about 20 minutes ago and I have also tried the solution in your post. I have compared every of the official MD5 Sums with the files I have downloaded.

Strange. I get the following MD5 sums from the parts I have downloaded:
ad9b399beb6864651845c76b4300d628 TW2EE_Patch-24.bin
a33eb8d6eb84cebdc9a7de8fbe233afa TW2EE_Patch-2.bin
And these are, acording to the official MD5 sums, incorrect. Also they are different from yours.

I had the same problem. In my case the MD5 checksums to part 4 and part 20 didn't match up. I re-downloaded them, they matched and now the installation is proceeding normally.
Kudos, CDProjekt Red.

Geez took me 2 days to download this and seems that every one I check has a different code. Are the checksum different for the auto update download? And if so which bin file has pack0.dzip?

Just went the reverse direction and started with 35, seem they are good on the bottom, but so far the first 5 I've checked are different.... damn this is going to take a while....

1-6, all different. Rest seem okay. Guess it'll take about 8 hours to download 6 of these things.

Hey,

I got a problem. I downloaded the program to digestIT and the patch 2 corect hash is : 68fedf1cb88a4d292a3f8344065c6212... the one i download from this site manually gives me a different hash... what can I do about it? I can't get a corect patch 2.

Thanks

P.S: just checked all the 35 files and right now compared to TW2EE patch MD5 checksums posted by a rep from CDP these files have DIFFERENT hashes: 2 7 21 26 29. And I dont know where else I could get the correct ones. Some help please? (btw i never got over patch 2... the error persists since I have a patch with a different hash)

Yes finally. I have downloaded the two parts again from the downloader and it works. Strange thing is that it doesnt work if I download them manually.

I have just d/l'd part2 and get the same MD5 as you, again not the same as the "official" version, also for me part 26 is faulty and gives a different MD5 - I have just d/l'd them this morning 21 April. Installation fails btw.

As far as I can see, the manualy downloaded files have completly diffrernt checksums then the ones defined in the sticky. These seems to be correct as of now, at least up until bin-10 (where I am now).
