Day 121 of #countdowntothedarkfuture brings a new topic! We're going fully visual with animated gifs comparing the art of #Cyberpunk2020 to what we've seen of #Cyberpunk2077 to see the inspiration and evolution from the tabletop to the video game.

It isn't all poses and jackets. When it comes to Cyberpunk 2077, there are visual cues from Cyberpunk 2020 even in the smaller details. Like in the tools of a ripperdoc's office, for example... Day 122 of #countdowntothedarkfuture.

Where did the Samurai logo come from? We can't say for certain but we also can't help but notice some similarities to the cover of the Pacific Rim sourcebook for #Cyberpunk2020! Day 123 of #countdowntothedarkfuture.

CDPR paid attention to the small details when looking through the Cyberpunk 2020 books for inspiration on visuals to bring into Cyberpunk 2077. Day 124 of #countdowntothedarkfuture.

The "Hand holding the guitar" began life as a logo for Silverhand Studios, an artist's housing project owned by Johnny Silverhand. It gained new life and a makeover as the cover of Never Fade Away in the #cyberpuk2077 trailer. Day 125 of #countdowntothedarkfuture.

From the flying cars in a certain movie to the Aerocop in #cyberpunk2020 to the aerodyne in the original #cyberpunk2077 teaser trailer, there's been a consistency of inspiration and design. Day 126 of #countdowntothedarkfuture!

Like the aerodyne yesterday, we didn't originate the crowded verticality of the genre but we adopted it for Night City in #cyberpunk2020 and CDPR has brought that forward into #cyberpunk2077. Day 127 of #countdowntothedarkfuture. Getting to some deep lore tomorrow!

Day 128 of #countdowntothedarkfuture begins a series of deep background lore. We look at the Collapse, the event of '90s which led to the Dark Future of #cyberpunk2020, #cyberpunkred, and #cyberpunk2077. This is where the Cyberpunk timeline splits from the real world, more than any other.
