Crafting Greater Runes

Finally figured out how to craft the greater runes. You need all 3 stages of the rune to craft them. Start with crafting the 2%, craft enough and they will show up in the 3%. Then craft the 3% enough and they will show up in the 5%. Craft the 5% and your done.

just need to be aware that runes you loot are not the same runes as those you can craft or buy... they will be not counted as those that can be upgraded, so practically, you are better to sell them away...

There are two types of lesser runes. Only one type can be used to make the medium grade ones. And here's a tip. If you place runes on a sword and that sword is needed for the next level (upgrading witcher swords for example), the runes will appear on the newly crafted sword.

Having said this I've read that all runes are still bugged and don't add to your stats.
