Crash to desktop XP SP2 One possible solution for AMD dual core systems only

All,I was having repeated random scene change CTDs.I appear to have fixed this by setting the witcher.exe file affinity to CPU0 only. To do this open the task manager on processes and sort by name. Run the game and wait until the main menu is up. Then alt tab to task manager, right click on witcher.exe, select affinity and untick CPU1. Hit OK then close taskmanager, activate the game by clicking on it in the task bar. Hopefully no more crashes. You have to do this every time you load the game.If you want to know the details, read on:I switched on the perfmon played until the game crashed. I noticed processor 0 was maxed while processor 1 was idle except for a spike at the moment of the crash. I had this fault on several other games that are too old or not written to cope with multi-threading. I thought I would give it a go. AMD released the dual core optimiser to prevent this that worked on all of my other games but for some reason it is not working on this game.Hope this helps someone else :)SystemAMD Athlon X2 6400+Asus M2N32SLI Deluxe Mainboard4GB RAMNV8800GTXMongole0
