Crash when inviting friend

Hey all! I've got this bug that means my game crashes every time I try and invite a friend. I click on it and it instantly crashes, doesn't show an invite list or anything.

I should note that I usually run Gwent through steam as a non-Steam game (if this makes any difference?) But I also get the same bug when I run through Gog.

This is something that seems to be generally problematic for now. The only thing I can recommend is to try installing the redistributables that come with the installation package; should be in your installation directory in a folder called redist. Alternatively, install / repair all of the following from Microsoft.com: DirectX 11 or 12, DirectX 9.0c, .NET Framework, Visual C++, and Visual Studio. For C++ and Studio, install all versions going back to 2010.

I had the same problem. Later in a right-up corner I spotted a tiny "x" sign to close this empty inviting friends window.
