Crashing after patch

Sorry to add yet another crash thread.

After the recent patches I am getting crashes to desktop, they are random, couldnt give a specific activity ingame that caused them. I have also had long load times for fast travel which appear to simple freeze on the load screen no matter how long i wait (yet the load tips/messages keep changing). When i then try to Alt/Tab out, the game stops responding.

On a side note, Roach's path finding is shot, when you call him always seems to get him stuck behind a fence or some other object.

PC
AMD Radeon R7 3.40 GHz
16 GB RAM
Win7 Prof 64 Bit OS
GeForce GTX 650 Ti

Can't help with the random crashing, aside from the normal stuff (close background programs, validate installation, delete user.settings, etc.). Alt-Tabbing has never been super friendly with Wild Hunt. If you run in Fullscreen, it will be more stable, overall. (This is true of any program regardless of any performance benefits of running in windowed/borderless.)

As for Roach, his pathfinding has always been messy. What you describe has been there since day 1. I think you've just been fortunate in the past. :) Whistling for Roach has been a constant source of comic relief to me since I began playing. (Actually, the pathfinding is written beautifully. It's just the enormous complexity of objects with collision in the world that's the problem. I mean, for crying out loud -- I get stuck on stuff when I'm walking around on foot!)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, perhaps i have just been lucky before now, but ive got a work around, i just call him in clear areas. As to your other suggestions, yup, tried them, not much luck though. Oh well, cheers anyway.

Open the Start Menu, type eventvwr.msc, and press Enter.

See under Windows Logs: See under Application and (or) System, if you have any errors. (red x)
