cross progression dont work..

+
can someone help me, played CP before on win pc (steam) 2021-2022. Now i wanted to try it on my MacBook (m4 Pro), same steam account. When i go on load game there are no saved game files... iam even logged in with my CD account, and CD account is also linked to my steam account. Yes cross save is enabled in game too.
Tried to manually download saved files from the steam cloud and insert into my steam CP saved folder (Mac). But in game it says game files are corrupted.

How to I still play my and access my saved games??

No I actually never, used mods with CP.
Ok, so the most obvious culprit is out :)
Also I dont know why the downloaded saves are corrupted. Maybe they are saved / optimized for Win and not for Mac use ??
But I read .dat files can also be used by Mac system.
Yes, it's possible. For example, I doubt save files on PS/Xbox/Switch 2 are directly compatible on PC. I assume the cross-progression use some kind of "conversion script" to transfer and make them compatible between every platforms flawlessly.
If you didn't, you should reach directly the support (at least, you will have a straight answer about saves...

Just to be clear, CDPR integrated cross-progression and steam cloud are two different features.
If you didn't enabled cross-progression at time on your PC, you wouldn't be able to import any save. Cross-progression only keep the last saves (the last manual save and the last automatic save created) created by the account linked, no matter the platform.
(I can't remember when exactly cross-progression was added to the game).
So, do you remember at time, if cross-progression was available and if yes, enabled?

And steam cloud, yes, in theory, it save on the cloud every single save created on your PC (it mirror your save folder, in theory).

I played it last time in early 2022, steam cloud saves says Mar 2022. Just checked cross progression got introduced with v 1.6.

"Cyberpunk 2077 officially introduced cross-progression (also known as cross-save) with the release of the Edgerunners patch (version 1.6) on September 7, 2022"

But still doesn't make sense why It won't pick up the saves...

Do I need a different version of CP for Mac? Only have it on steam...

Also every time I try to launch the game on my Mac, it shows this issue (steam)

Ok, so since the patch 1.6 was released in September 2022 and the last time you played is March 2022, you simply can't have any save hosted on CDPR server by the cross-progression feature.

Not sure why your saves you downloaded from Steam appear as corrupted :(
First thing which come in my mind is if you used mods at time. It could explain why they appear corrupted if you try to load them.

About the Steam cloud issue message, not sure, I'm not espcially familiar with Steam, but no matter what you do, download all the saves you want to keep, because there are chance that Steam will erase/delete some (if not all) of your saves... In any case, I don't think it have anything to do with the game itself.

(there is no dedicated category, but this one should be fine)

The "easiest" way would be to have access to a PC. On it, link Cyberpunk to your CDPR account, load the save you want to transfer on your Mac, then in-game, create a brand new save and let the game uploading it on CDPR servers. Then, there is no doubt, this save will appear on your Mac and you will be able to load it without issue.

I though about your steam message, it likely because your save folder does not correspond to the one saved on the cloud. So Steam warn you that if you synchronize the save folder, either it will replace everything on your Mac by the saves hosted on the cloud, either replace everything hosted on the cloud by what's on your Mac (which would be the worst, you would loose all of your PC saves I guess).

I think iam gonna try that out, start CP on a Win PC and try to access this way. And afterwards try it again on my Mac.
Thanks a lot for your help!!! :)

Update: all the saved game loads where not cloud saved (cross-progression) but just played it on cloud pc and to updated instantly to cloud and is now available for my Mac too!

I am having somewhat of the same issue. I own Cyberpunk on my Xbox series X, and I got a new PC with the Black Friday Deals, so naturally I wanted to play Cyberpunk with my PC graphics.
However, when I linked my accounts to my CDPR account and tried to save my game data from my Xbox and transfer it to my PC it did not register/ pop up in the "Load Game" section.

Both games are up to date with the most recent patch (2.31).
Additionally, When I try and play through steam, in the main menu of cyberpunk it tells me to log into my CDPR account so I can get the "in-game rewards". So, my guess is that I am logged into cyberpunk through my steam account but not my CDPR account. However, when I launch the REDLauncher it literally tells me that I'm logged into my account where both my steam and Xbox accounts are linked. So, I am really confused and don't know what to do.

I am just simply trying to play my Xbox saved data on my PC. Any help will be truly appreciated.

On your PC, does the "cross-progression" settings enabled? If not, are you able to enable it?
On your Xbox, have your last manual, auto saves been uploaded on the cloud?
(On the saves successfully uploaded on CDPR servers there is a little "checked cloud" icon on the top right if I remember).
There is how to enable cross progression on PC :

I am having this same problem

Couple months ago I successfully transferred some saves I had from my PC to my PS5, now I wanted to import other manual saves I had on the PC, but when I open the game, it says that my REDLauncher account is not connected, but it is, already tried everything (reinstalling the game, deactivating the Phantom Liberty DLC on Steam, relogging with my account on the REDLauncher, downloading GOG Galaxy and opening from there, clearing the cache for the REDLauncher, unlinking and linking the account with Steam).

it looks like it simply doesn't detect that my game is connected with the CDPR account (although it literally is on the REDLauncher), on the PS5 the past saves I transfered are there and my CDPR account shows as connected, showing the rewards in My Rewards section.

note: cross-progression is enabled

Strange and annoying :(
Just to be sure : On your PC do you use or ever used mods?
Not sure it still a thing, but I remember a mod (CET with the option to skip the intro enabled, prevented the game to link to CDPR account).

Hi LeKill3rFou and Pistorigabriel, I was just reading in the community section in the cyberpunk steam webpage, supposedly many other users are experiencing the same issue where they try to log into cyberpunk, and the game does not recognize that they are logged into their CDPR account. One user also mentioned how cyberpunk worked perfectly fine on their switch 2 but not on their PC, similarly, cyberpunk works fine on my Xbox but not on my PC.
To Reply to your comment LeKill3rFou, yes, I made sure to have the "cross-progression" setting enabled on both systems, and also yes on my Xbox when I manually saved, the little cloud with the checkmark would pop-up in the top right.

It seems that the same issue is affecting some players but not all? I'm thinking maybe it could be a server issue on CD Projekts side?

Yes it's possible.
If you didn't, I recommend to directly reach the support for help ("contact us" button).
There is no dedicated category, but this one should be fine ;)

Only newly created saves get uploaded to the cross progression storage. So for example, if you want to transfer save games from PS5 to a PC, but you haven't had cross progression enabled when playing on PS5, you will have to:
1. Launch the game on PS5
2. Make sure you're signed in to a RED account (you can check either the "My Rewards" button in main menu, or the "Cross Progression" button in Load/Save game menu)
3. Load you latest save
4. Create a new save (at this point you should see a cloud icon next to the new save)
5. Launch the game on PC
6. Again make sure you're signed in to the same RED account as on PS5 (see point #2)
7. Your PS5 save games should be visible in Load Game menu

If on PC you're signed in the REDlauncher, but the game still prompts you to sign in, then it might be a bug. Make sure you're updated to the latesst version, and if it still doesn't work you should contact support.

I've done everything you mentioned multiple times and the game still doesn't detect that I'm logged into REDLauncher.
