Cross save issue b/t PC, Steam Deck, and PS5

I am desperate for help troubleshooting my issues with Cross-save.

I play on Steam Deck/PC and PS5. I started on PS5 over a year ago and only played an hour or so. I then started on my Steam Deck a few weeks back, started from scratch, and have logged 30 hours in. I am dying to be able to play my new file on my PS5, but despite following all the directions online, I cannot get Cross-save to work properly.

It works PS5 to Steam Deck, so I know my accounts are properly connected. Even created a new game on my PS5 to test and had no issue getting those save files to show up on my Steam Deck. But the save files on my Steam Deck will not sync to the cloud and will not appear on my PS5.

Here is my experience: when I play on my steam deck or PC, obviously the launcher loads first. Then, when I launch the game, the little pop up you can trigger about cross save confirms it is on and my account is synced, all looks good. Then, when I save my game, the little blue cloud with the up arrow appears on the file (indicating to me it is uploading). But after a while, that icon just disappears. Then, if I quit to the main menu, and I try and trigger the Cross-save pop up again, it shows an error that I need to relog in from the launcher before launching the game to claim my rewards, or something like that. But when I relaunch, the launcher shows me properly logged in, and when the game starts the Cross-save pop up says everything is working fine, and the cycle begins again.

Oof. This is a good one. Definitely contact Support.

I'm not sure of exactly which order to do this. My gut tells me to get it sorted between the PC and PS5 first (just take the Steam Deck out of the equation for now.) Reason: both the PC and PS5 are able to do the next-gen features in their entirety, but the save data will be in a slightly different format. If you can get those two playing nicely together, the Deck should be able to more easily convert either file.

If you go from, say, PC to Deck, then from Deck to PS5, that might introduce layers of adding and removing certain data that creates a technical hicca-burp.

I'm totally speculating here.
 
I have a question, because I need to know what version I need to buy for multi-platform cross save. I had such an issue with Witcher 3, so I want to be sure to avoid it with Cyberpunk.

I had base Witcher 3 game and then DLC's bought later separately for PC. Then I bought "Final edition" for console. When I tried to move my saves via CDPRoject cloud from a console, it was unable to sync saying those versions are different So I needed to upgrade my PC version to the "final edition" to have it work properly. (I think the problem was all because of the gifts in "Final Edition", not DLC's itself).

Now it is the same with Cyberpunk. I have base game with Phantom Liberty bought later. I want to buy the game for other platform and I'm wondering if I buy "Ultimate Edition" it will works, or I should buy separately Base game and DLC to avoid a similar problem to the Witcher.
