CTD Original Wither 2 + EE Patch

Hi !!

I have spend so many days to try to fix this...

Since I bought the game and completed it I have moved to a new PC. Now I want to try EE to play it again... but...

No matter what I try.... with all different posibilities of configuration... When I try to load a save file or even If I try to create a new game.... the game crash to desktop when loading....

What I tried:

- All resolutions
- Every setting at min
- SLI on / off
- Different language configuration
- German Mod Fix I saw in google

Why I cannot play it !!

My Specs:

Intel Core i7-3770K
Asus Maximus V Extreme
12161 MB DDR3 DUAL Channel (4x2 + 2x2)
Windows 7 SP1 x64

Any Idea please ?!?

Hi again !

Not at all... All is in stock... I have absolutely no problem with any other game / app.... just with Witcher 2....

When you were patching the game did any errors appear ? Also check your antivirus program for any quarantined Witcher 2 files .

There were no errors at all...All was perfect... There is no alert or quarantined file in my antivirus.

I remember that the first time I played this game with my old PC (It was also a good one) I was having similar problems... One of the problems was becouse of many save files )now I just have 1), I remember also I had to change some option in my BIOS like ht disable and multi-core disable (nothing about OC)....

This time with my new PC nothing works...

Witcher 2 is the only app in my PC during more than 1 year (since I bought it) that is giving me problems....

Any Idea ?? is there anything I can do to trace the problem ?

Some days after.... I have tried clean boot, and also full reinstall (ever removing all related to witcher 2 inside regedit before installing it again.... and the result is the same....

This is as I said the only SW that is not working in my pc.... so sad about this....

Are your motherboard drivers up to date ? What you can try if you have no bandwidth issues is the backup copy from GOG using your cd-key
http://www.gog.com/witcher/backup . All patches are already installed .
What video card(s) are you using ?

I am going to try that GOG copy.

My Motherboard drivers and BIOS are up to date... my video card is a 2x NVidia GTX680 2Gb SLI.

I have tried by the way with or without SLI enabled.

Will be back with news after testing GOG copy.

Ey ! That did the trick !! So..... Original DVD Installation + Automatic Patches = Crash To Desktop Loading ... ! GOG Full copy = Success !

GOG is surely preferable - easier to back up, includes all patches plus it's GOG
