Curse You GOG!

In that case I'll get them when the Linux versions come out, probably with a juicy discount. Meanwhile I have a bunch of other things to play. Oh, and there's life too.

I hope Grimrock 2 will get a native Linux version soon as well. The first one runs perfectly.

Huh, gog now has a "New gaming publisher coming in..." message followed by a countdown timer on the home page, just noticed it. Looks like it's the big release they were talking about.

Put all SCUMM games in a discounted package and I'll gobble it up.

I kind of wish someone capable would remake Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle and Sam & Max Hit the Road with modern, high definition hand-drawn graphics.

There is a hidden hint that it's indeed Disney / LucasArts. Take a look at GOG countdown on the front page. I just saw some numbers there which used the font from the Monkey Island! For example 10 in the minutes position.

Example:

Compare it to this:

Guess I missed minute 10 but yeah most likely LucasArts. As I said, I expect a whole SCUMM pack with a juicy discount :)

GOG leaked some information about the upcoming games. It's going to be 30 titles, with 6 appearing as a first batch (details here). You can just wait a bit more for the official announcement if you don't want to spoil the list.

How did that happen? Did they post something accidentally?

In any case, looking forward to that SCUMM pack!

THIRTY! :victory:
Oh boy, I so hope for Jedi Knight series and KotOR II in the near future :animier:

Yep. Nice thing they added them but nothing too great price wise.

That's fine. I am positive during one or another GOG sale they will have a SCUMM pack.

In case anyone didn't already know, Sam & Max Hit the Road is a seminal adventure game, both hilarious and excellent. I'd like someone to work on an Enhanced Editions of this game, with HD hand-drawn graphics and movie-quality animation.

And just for bragging rights I have a Max and Crossbones T-shirt I bought from the Telltale merch store back in the day. Both the store and the shirt aren't available anymore so I decided to stop wearing it. Should probably frame it or something.

Also, GOG apparently will release these games gradually over the course of the year (which is their usual practice in order not to flood new releases), so Loom and Full Throttle will have to wait.

X-Wing...Tie Fighter...games of my youth...I am...so moved...

I still remember the first time I launched TIE Fighters intro on my brand new 486 DX2 66Mhz, the fastest PC in the neighbourhood at that time. And the sound of jaws of my all friends that gathered around hitting the floor.

Hah, nice. I remember one of the Kickstarters for Doug TenNapel's sketches was offering a Neverhood T-shirt. But I didn't know about that one, only found it recently.

Fond memories for me too, I'd have to say not my favourite space fighter games, but extremely fun, definitely 2 of the best, kept Star Wars alive imo... and Admiral Thrawn ! Cracker antagonist.
