Customization seems so limited/poor..

Oh come on. Look at this picture and count how many options there was in old demo and this new one. In old video, in every category we had 10 options. In this new demo we have only 4. Only difference is beard because now we are looking at male character. Oh sorry. Left side "body type". When I think about it, I'm expecting that now, right side "body type" will also have beard options. Look how many eye color options there were in old demo and how many are now. And please don't tell me it's only "work in progress" and I should not assume anything from this video. If that is the case, why even show us anything? At this point I can expect that in final version there will be only "body type" slider and nothing more.View attachment 11014208
I don't know what to tell you other than this is a work in progress? Or maybe the demo was setup in a way that looked like options were taken away when they weren't? But as I said this new video was about playstyles over customization.

Ok, now I have begun the feelings of the overwhelming fear and anxiety.

Or maybe the demo was setup in a way that looked like options were taken away when they weren't?
But you can clearly see that there are less options in this new demo. There is nothing hidden here. In old demo in nose category for example we can clearly see 10 options while in new demo only 4. In old demo we can see there are 36 eye color options. In new only 7.

But then why was customization show and then changed to appear as if it's been toned down and made lesser?

. Maybe they're creating a new U.I and they were readding things in? I can't really answer questions I don't know the answer to. You'd have to ask the dev team. But 8 months is more than enough time to add a ton of things into it.

Do you mean like, they re-did the U.I. and are slowly trying to add back features from the previous better U.I.? What worries me is that this new "nerfed, less option U.I" seems "complete-looking" and it scares me.

Then it is very important that we tell them how worried we are now while it's not too late, right?
CDPR we are very afraid! old U.I. with severely more customization options looked better, please add even more options than that! please tell us it's all just a place-holder! we need huge customization please!

The old UI looked so stylish and cool... New one is boring and worse in every aspect.
Yea, the older U.I. looked very dark and cyber-ish and cool. Now it just looks all colorful and bland at the same time, which is really unusual and unsatisfying :(

WORK IN PROGRESS NOT A FINAL PRODUCT

Game's eight months away. It wouldn't surprise me if they've barely worked on CC and this is just a placeholder. There doesn't even seem to be an option for hair color.
I agree. Its VERY likely considering how often they talk about wanting us to "become" our character that they havent really worked on it just yet and are focusing on getting everything else down first

WORK IN PROGRESS NOT A FINAL PRODUCT
Oh. I can see you have used this old and overused tactic. But I'm so good, that I predicted this poor strategy one page before. Let me play my reverse card now:

And please don't tell me it's only "work in progress" and I should not assume anything from this video. If that is the case, why even show us anything? At this point I can expect that in final version there will be only "body type" slider and nothing more.

Also. WHY ARE YOU WRITE LIKE THIS? IT'S KIND OF RUDE YOU KNOW.

Something that most of you seem to either forget or don't realize is that this is CDPR's game. They're the ones that are paying for and using their time to make it, they're also the ones that paid to buy the IP. Therefore in the end whether you or I like something or not it is them that have the right to add or change what they want. And ultimately it's up to them whether or not they give you what you want. You can either choose to accept it or find another product, but most likely most of you are going to buy the game anyway and will probably get over whatever decisions they make or don't make. Sorry if you don't like the changes they've made, or haven't but that's just how things go. You don't always get you want unfortunately. I know for myself I'm going to be getting it for sure, I've been following it since it was announced and have been really excited for the end product. Knowing CDPR it's going to be a masterpiece like The Witcher 3.

No purple eyes and only 5 hair options without color customization.
It hurt my soul..

Where did you hear about this? I want nudism to be possible in the game, just for the fun of it. I worry that they wont allow it but I don't know what is actually confirmed or not. If our characters are already capable of existing that way, why not allow V to eat kibble like cereal for breakfast in their own apartment, and then accidentally forget to put clothes on before heading out for a day of fighting the bad guys? Would make for some fairly hilarious game play if the player chooses to do so. Just as a customization option. I don't like it how most games the player removes all clothing, but you tend to be left with some unusual generic underwear of a pre-locked style that can't be changed. Would be nice to have different underwear options or none at all.

Yup. From Wiki:

Minimalist Fashion1567483842263.gif
In a world where people treat their bodies like sports cars to be customized and modified to fit one's personal needs and tastes, and to parade for everyone to see, folks are not shy about their bodies, especially ones with a lot of alterations. On top of that, years of sexual exploitation in mass-media had desensitized people to nudity. In this environment, people can strut around in the nude without anyone batting an eye.
This style is about dressing in little or no clothing. This could be limited to jewellery and accessories, scantly-cut lingerie, ripped Tarzan-styled loincloth or even one loose article of outerwear. Such articles and accessories are about highlighting ones body. They are usually reflections of other, more popular styles; everything but Businesswear, Edgerunner and Bag Lady Chic, but with Urban Flash and High Fashion being the most common.
Who wears this?
(...so to speak.) A common phase for teenagers who received cosmetic surgery for the first time and wish to show off their new look to all their friends, along with those who became "Exotic" for the first time. Beyond that, there are people who, as a personal preference or a professional requirement, are active nudists.

I hope they walk this path to be honest. Its one of the many things why Cyberpunk World is cool. This is the reason why they should bring some Porn-models too, or bring sex or swinger clubs.

Jesus on a cross - adding presets to character customization is like one day work for an intern in graphics department. Just chill. Obviously we haven't seen the full character creations because there were no options shown to choose voice or how our body will look like and we know for sure that this will be in the final game.

Tell me mate, what is the point of this forum?!? To praise CDPR? "I'm throwing money on the screen but nothing is happening"? "Please take my money"? We all know its their game. We all know its their money. I won't even start that without people buying their games there would be no money to produce those games but whatever. We all know that at the end this is all their decision what they will do. But i will rather "bitch" now what I don't like than wait couple of months and have to listen to "you should have say what is your problem back then were something could be done about it" argument. I'm "shilling" for CDPR from 2008. Hell, even longer. Most of you didn't even knew were Poland is on a map when I was buying their products, but even I have my limit of fanatical fanboyism. If you so sure it will be "masterpiece" just because its CDPR, good for you mate. I just want to tell you that couple years ago, most people were saying such thing about Blizzard for example. And where are they now? "You guys don't have phones"??? Your strategy is to praise them whatever is happening? Ok, good for you. My strategy is to tell them where I see a problem. You know why I'm "bitching" here? Because I actually care. All this take it or leave it, is just pathetic. Seriously, once again, what is the point of this forum?

This is an important point. Nobody is beyond making a bad game. Previous track record is a good way to gauge initial interest, but this is completely different from their past work. As more and more details and gameplay is shown, it's becoming apparent this isn't the game I was hoping it would be, and I'm what you would call a CDPR "shill" as well ever since TW1.

Also keep in mind a ton of the talent that worked on The Witcher 1-3 is no longer at CD Projekt Red and went on to found their own studios like Reikon Games who made Ruiner (a fantastic cyberpunk game btw).

There are more options and it looked cooler....You could add biographical details to your character like a true rpg and even this was screwed

( Draws a deep sigh and mutters: " I'm an unreasonable prick and here I go having to try and be the voice of reason.") : Ok, let's all calm down here, folks. You all DO realize the game is still in development right? And while I am on the topic: Has CDPR let us down before? No? Why should we think otherwise. Space constraints aside, I am almost positive that they are going to give us the best they can come up with. Are we going to get EVERYTHING we imagine? Probably not. But do we really NEED it all to enjoy the game? I know I won't have to have the universe on a platter in order to be happy with my purchase. Personally, if they stay true to the Cyberpunk vision of the pnp and the ethic of the literature that inspired it (Which, with Mr. Pondsmith to guide them along. I can't see how they could fail.), I'll be over the moon. Are there things I'd LIKE to see? Sure. But it won't be the end of the world if some of the stuff don't make it. All I'm saying is: We should balance our expectations with reality. Thanks, Just my 2 "eddies" worth.

Looking at the whole picture, this seems more and more like a Far Cry clone than an RPG. It makes sense for it to have limited customization options, because that's not the focus of the game.

Focus of the game will be moving from one mission and shootout to the next, listening to Keanu quotes, and maybe some minigames. Expect the whole shebang to be under 20 hours long. There is no way they were going to keep last year's customization options for a first-person shooter game under 20 hours, especially after they saw how little it added to Far Cry 5.

Guys its long game, (Think I read somewhere 200 hour with all side quests etc) so maybe more styles, fashion and customization opens up when the game progress further.
