Cutscene and Vendor..FPS drop... help! (framerate)

evga p67
i7 2600k 4.0
gtx 460 sli (2)
16gb cosair

I play this at 1920 1080.
Medium settings.
Uber off.
DoF off.
Blur off.
Non 3d mode.

I get around 35 fps. 50 Indoors. Plays decent enough, problem is when -
Cutscenes.
The fist fight sequences or the mouse tap sequences.
vendor scenes (buying or selling)

FPS goes down to 5 - 10 ....Then right back up to 40 afterwards. Its very annoying. I just got the game, playing it through steam.

I have the latest build of the game. i believe its 1.35, and im using nvidia drivers version 280.26

Any help would be appreciated , thanks guys!

Try to test the fps drop with only one video card enabled. And if it works, than is your sli the fault. In your case, you have a problem, for sure, but for the start test the game with only one card enabled.

You could test your rig to see if it's stable in that overclock you did. Test the CPU in IntelBurnTest with the highest level of stress test about 1 hour, and it will tell you if the cpu is perfect stable, if not increase the voltage a little bit, or decrease the frequency. Same to the video cards, test it on furmark. If all is stable, then you eliminated this problem.

You might want to check out if you have "Depth of Field - Cutscenes" (in opposition to "Depth of Field -Gameplay") enabled in the graphic options and if so turn it off. Not sure if it helps but woth a try.

There are many GTX 460 that have sudden drop in FPS in many games. Hope this is not the case for you, cause it is more of a hardware problem that can't be fixed.

Wait you only get 35 fps with that setup on medium settings?

I admit that's the worrying part.

That is strange. Your rig is about double the power of mine and I run 35 FPS on High o_O

Tweak the settings until you get a decent framerate, I also heard that the 280.26 drivers cause some trouble for some users.

well im still getting only around 30 fps constant while playing. And my cutscenes sometimes are laggy. Sometimes their not ... Im not quite sure what to make of it.

Im currently in the wooded area where u fight the endgregas and the troll etc. (flotsam i think)

heres my settings. I think i should be getting a lil better performance with my setup.

( i can play all my other games maxed out with good fps...even with fraps running. CoDs, Dues Ex HR, Dead Island, Crysis 2) Just this game i have the problems with.

One thing you should try in my opinion is to deactivate your sli and see if the performances take a hit.

Admittedly your configuration is limited by your graphic cards, but you have a better configuration than me in anything and still worse performances.
I can play fully in 1920 * 1080 with full details but Ubersampling with a 4890 CF and a Quad Core at 2.83 GHZ between 35 and 60 fps (vsync on), always.
So your config should give you at worst a bit better than me considering your processor.
