Regarding Vista and Crossfire, in other games it functions well, and as everyone here has the same problem, I don't think it actually relates to my specific configuration (which, btw, is: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 2,66GHz, 4 GB of RAM, 2 xATI 4850, Vista Business, GIGABYTE EX38T-DQ6 AND 1 TB of hard disk)

What same problem? Those faint vertical lines that are visible when you view dark area?I just wish a dev would inform us if they have found the culprit and how much longer the fix is going to take.

Lack of an official statement from CDPR pretty much guarantees that they are NOT working on it, or it is not a priority, or they are clueless about their own codebase and they are hesitant to commit to anything. Either way, don't expect this problem to be fixed any time soon. Just like the EAX problem and the myriad of other problems "on the table" right now. It's been close to a month since EE was released. Far too long to let these issues go without follow-up or official statement from CDPR.I have given up waiting for CDPR to get their act together. I consider this game now a waste of space on my hard drive, and I now feel I gave $40.00 to the "save CDPR" charity foundation.

I am aware of those responses. Sorry, but that is not an official statement, nor is it a indication that they are committing all of their resources to fix a critical bug ASAP. That is a random request from the QA team that is over 2 weeks old in an unofficial game-tech thread. It tells us nothing, and we haven't heard anything since.

I really hope this gets fixed soon. The game's just been sitting here waiting to be played. =\

Same problem here--thought something was wrong with my eyes at first. Its unplayable--my eyes keep straining trying to focus it and quickly start hurting.Fortunately I backed up the game directory and registry values before I installed the EE, so I can go back to the original version until its fixed pretty easily.XP SP2, ASUS HD3870 video card.

I have an Idea!Post a copy of your DXdiag log file here so devs can take a gander at the setups.!goto the run command and type "dxdiag" then hit the "save all information" buttonHere is mine as reference. As I DO NOT have the blur issue

I am fairly certain you won't find a pattern, but if you insist:WinXP 32Bit SP 3AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ RAM: 2x1GBGeForce 7900GS AGP --> Forceware 177.70Your tech-guys already have my full dxdiag (that's assuming it was passed along).

I'm 100% certain you have this issue as well. Either you lie about it or you just don't notice it. How about you take some screenshots? Take one immediately after loading the game and other once you have had a dialogue. Take the screenshots from the same place.

The one (of many) things I don't really get is: if you don't "experience" (and please note the term) such bug at all, how did you end up in this tread?

This is actually a very interesting point. I mean, is this bug effecting all players or just some players? We know by now that MANY players have experienced the same BUG, but how many in %? Maybe we are just a very limited % of the overall players, and this would somehow explain CDProject lack of resposivness on fixing this issue....But we also do know by now that not all players experience the bug to the same degree, which could explain why certain among us don't think they have this issue at all.So, basically we have two questions:1) Is this BUG effecting all PC's (despite the fact that u actually notice it), or only certain PC's?2) If the latter is true, what % of PC's have this problem?

Forgot to mention this but also post what settings you have applied in-game and in your graphic card drivers.

For the non Believers ;) Shhhhhhunnn!Click for bigger pics. Note I have incliuded background trees. what with the crispness of the leaves im guessing you can see the problem if they were blurred.See... no blur :pI will say this. I DID notice the blurr for about 5 secs whilst the screen was refreashing "After" dialogue. But it went when the refresh finnished. Maybe this is where the problem lies ;)

That is a MAJOR bug for me.

Yes I'm not debating that. For YOU it is serious. For the majority it isn't. So calling the game itself seriously bugged isn't acurate, especially since for most of those encountering the issue there is an easy work around. I'm not saying your claims are invalid just that in whole in and of it self the game functions fine. IF the majority thought the game was now unplayable.... Well this forum/thread would be way more active.IF you want this fixed faster convince more people you know that have the issue to send in the dxdiag and whatever else RED wants.BTW: This weekend I got to chapter two and issue didn't increase any as another poster commented about. I still have it at medium lighting and don't notice the blur...Lord_Lethris: Though there is no connection to who is having the problem maybe there is to the severity of the issue. Some of us can get by with medium some can't even get by on low...

Hmm...interesting. Can you take those screenshots with fullscreen on? I think we may have something that's related to fullscreen mode only. Also please post your settings for game and drivers.

That's actually helpful, since it's exactly what happens to us, except it doesn't reset all the way, the blur just sticks around to spoil the fun. So the actual bug occurs a few seconds after the end of a cutscene. Maybe it's some sort of internal rounding error, returning the "OK, it's sharp again" a tad too soon.Besides, why do some of you think that everyone suffers from this bug? There are several thousand players out there. So far, I estimate that 10% have this particular problem, at the most.
