Has anyone else noticed drinking "Cat" for night vision removes the blur? Even in daytime (waste of a potion) it seems to remove the blur.I'm still waiting for a real fix though. Also, for the "change the resolution" people, the blur happens equally on 1366x768 and 1920x1080.

I actually considered downgrading (which means fresh installation), but I am afraid my beloved savegames won't like that very much.

I have done it several times (tryed to reinstall everything) and I can ensure your saved games won't be effected at all. To be really cautius you can always make a back-up of your save files. In any case, going back to the 1.3 edition is a crappy solution....

Back on page 18... you know, before I got slagged off. If anyone "bothered" to ask what I men't, and/or not attacked me personally, I would have said the same thing as young Dewd, and asked someone to test the "theory" :hmmm:

Already said a couple of posts back that I had a very old video driver revision when I first saw the bug (16x.xx something, ~1 year ago?), updated to 178.13, did not help. Also renaming exe does not help, btw does anyone notice that the cutscene pixelation (yeah I seem to have that too ::), and don't you dare tell me to activate AA, i already have massive blur, don't need AA on top of that ) is much worse then lighting quality is set to high ?, pixelation + blur ftw

the reasoning behind the rename trick is you force ccc to take over AA. Bare with me. The idea is that when the game returnes from dialogue and refreases with its own routeen that is clearly failing, ccc takes over AA and refreases the screen instead. It was just an idea, it might blot out the blur for some.

I took some time and put together all the system specifications named in this thread so far. These are the ones that have the bugMirror: http://rapidshare.de/files/40678714/systems_with_bug.zip.html

Just a repost in case someone missed it. Take a look at that, and you will see that the hardware, OS and driver combinations are totally random.

Still no evidence of a fix in the offing?I have an X1950 XTX card. Latest drivers d/l and installed. Game is all but unplayable for me, so blurry is it.I had purchased the original but returned it. Saw the EE and decided to purchase that. The original worked no problems. The EE has been a shocker..... - wouldn't even start once 'launch game' (or whatever the wording) selected on the main menu (the EAX problem I assume, as turning down sound hardware accel fixed it). - very blurry....really quite impossible to look at for any length of time. - crashed after the cutscene opening chapter 1 (i.e. after the doggies chase the kid & girl).Someone dropped a few balls, somewhere.Sadly, work commitments kept me from makinig it back within the 1 week return policy where I bought it or it would've been back to the store time. So, for the record, here's 1 Aussie who doesn't love Witcher in its current form.

Boy I'd love to even be able to downgrade to 1.3, just to avoid this bug. Can't do that with the EE, though :(

Can't you reinstall the game? Or you didn't save on your pc the 1.3 patch?

I think what epmode is saying is that they purchaced the retail EE outright. So they wouldn't have the original too patch too 1.3. But it would be nice if you can "downgrade" the retail EE to Patch 1.3.[hr]Im at work, so I cannot check at the moment. But where does The Witcher store its configuration file? and can somebody PM me a copy please?
