good to hear Licaon_Kter. lets hope those guys get it done this time but how about releasing a uncompiled fullscreenfx.luc too, i would love to play around with it. besides the blur-bug, there are some other fullscreen effects (e.g. some potion effects) i don't like and it would be perfect for modding the game.

Since the issue stil exists when overwrite that luc file the real issue is probably in the mgr file that make game crash if not present. It must have try except code that once it fails to try to run a funcion in the removed file the rest of code in it doesn't fire. Anyone try replaceing the manager file luc with 1.3 version?

Yeah, I thought of that too, and I also tried the manager file from 1.3, and 1.0. Neither improved the issue.

Ok, officially Belinda's fix is working. However, the blur came back and I don't know how and why. Just give me a day so I can finally confirm it. Maybe its just my eyes deceiving me, but its so sweet not to wear those glasses anymore. :teeth:

@ Licaon_Kter:yes.@ thelostdunmerit is working as described, but as soon as you use the cateye potion you'll see the massive drawback of this method. ok for me, i use the torch, but i'm only using my fix until the next patch is available (and hopefully works as intended).

The new ATI drivers made High look like medium, but I wasn't planning on playing the Witcher right then so went into Space Empires V and I noticed several graphic glitches, got out made some changes went back in... worse...fiddled...worse...reset back to first settings...worst... Something about those drivers didn't like my machine... I only have a X850 XT so...Revert and both games went back to the same SEV perferect, TWEE blurred... OH well. Wonder when patch will be out...

Err to clarify my previous post the amount of blurriness in high went down significantly with the new drivers, so that it looked like what I had previously on medium. poor wording choice...No I didn't try playing with those files simply because A. fix coming "SOON" and B. I can play it on medium right now wihtout it bothering me.Though as I mentioned the new ATI drivers got so screwy that I had to revert. I just let the installer do the uninstall of older drivers rather than a proper uninstall though... I don't know if it was the drivers fault or my machine. I have had trouble ever since install 3dmax with SP3

I just did a little testing and if anyone has noticed that at least on 4870X2 there are faint vertical lines.Now this issue too is caused by this blurring and is evident *ONLY* after talking to an NPC for the first time. So the patch should fix this too. I also monitored FPS and the blur does drop FPS by 1-5.I just can't wait for them to release the patch. Maybe I'll be finally finish the witcher for the first time.For the record I bought the game when it first came out in 2007. Played it to ch2 and put off after hearing 1.2 was going to be released. Started it from the beginning after 1.2 then heard about 1.3 and put it off again in ch2.After 1.3 came I was just beginning the game when they announced EE. And now after EE was released there's this goddamn blurring bug. The patch just can't come soon enough.P.S. For the record I still love the game and I have 1 regular edition, 3 collector's editions, 3 enhanced editions, 2 the last wish books, 2 the blood of the elves hardcover books. I'm probably one of the biggest fans of CD Projekt Red and Witcher. I just hate the bugs. At least I can play Mass Effect in the meantime.

Damn, you sure put it off for a long time. I played through Normal mode with the original release, and the first minor patch. I'm excited to play through on Hard with the EE when this patch comes out to fix EAX and blur.

WORD! I've got Far Cry 2, Dead Space and Fable 2 right now, and Fallout 3 in about a week, but I will put all those aside the second i get TWEE patched up and ready. ;D

because you can miss it on high resolutions, or if you are not looking close enough
