Cutscenes causing blurred graphics (DO NOT MERGE)

Original thread: http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=17287.0According to Licaon_Kter (the last post here http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=17287.540) we should move our "rants" to this part of the forum. So please feel free to complain, grunt, rant, whatever you see fit, about how annoying this bug is and how impatiently are we awaiting the patch :)

I am quite sure that this problem cannot be fixed by the end user without any negative side effects. This issue has to be addressed by CDPR.But the effort of some members of this community to find a working solution is remarkable. In my opinion they all deserve a big 'Thank you' from all victims of the blur bug.

Sorry, I meant no offence. I really appreciate every effort from the community, including yours :) But as I stated it before, I am a hardliner and won't accept any comprimise quality wise. Not temporary and most certainly not permanently ;)

There isn't going to be a patch, maybe they canceled it, but the the comment that there won't be a patch is newer than the one saying there will be one.

Well that's good news, no information on how long we'll have to wait...but still, good news.- now we just need someone to tell us the exact opposite and things will be back to normal :teeth: (joke)

Heh, nowadays games are like plants. You buy a seed and need to have it to grow. Grow via patches to form a ripe berry :)

I wonder what's taking so long. Maybe it's just that most programmers are already busy with something else and do not have a deadline and this patch might as well be considered unofficial?

If devising a hotfix yields as much data as troubleshooting this issue has for us, then I expect CDPR would be drowning in data :(Seriously, I have over 40GB of text-only data from my machine alone to go through. 40GB of text :( That's just my machine, I'm also analysing another forum member's data to see if I can figure out the difference. That's a lot of text I have to trawl through, and I'm still not done yet, despite promising the forums I'd look at it a month ago (I have been, I promise, there's just so much there that it's taking ages).I understand the frustration, and I don't doubt there are people at CDPR who feel similarly grumpy about the problems. Good news on the hotfix, though :) I'll have to pass that info along to a few people who may have missed the updates in this thread.

At least some news. But this delay is fustratiing and worse it ruined all my interest in this wonderfull and unique game. I just hope when they launch the fix I still have enough patiente to download it and to try TW for my second time.

OK, I'm no programmer, I'm just a mere analyst and product tester, but you know:- Before EE, this problem was not present.- Now it is and both for nVidia and ATI graphics cards. Therefore it have to be something in the graphical code. Probably some parameters are just not reset after a dialog. But what is the main problem? Reviewers, journalists, not doing their job. A few reviews of the EE complaining about the bug, and this wuld be long soved. And maybe the worst part is, that the situation on the RPG market is, that still The Witcher is amongs the best RPGs now no matter its bugs. For me the best RPG from the time of Morrowind. Recently I'v finished the Mass Effect. What a shallow piece of crap, the romances in the game are utter garbage. In comparision The Witcher is a pinancle of storytelling :)

Nope. They probably have too much work with "A Behind the Scenes Look at The Witcher’s PR & Marketing Team" :-/

It looks like the LOD bug may have made it into The Rise of the Wolf. Check these screenshots:http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/news/43320/The-Witcher-Rise-of-the-White-Wolf-Screenshots

So they haven't released a patch to correct all bugs brought by the EE, now they plan to release a console version. A very buggy one no doubt.
