Many appreciated tracks, got to hear some of them. Very please to see such dedication, :iconic thumbs:
Yes, I do like the 80s and 90s Retro, or the modern updated version too. Just have to find the music you like to get into the mood.
I heard both tracks. First of all, great power on both, good job on that. However, good advice always comes with how we can improve, so here is what I noticed: Some instruments (or to be rather more specific some percussion) were out of the beat, make sure that you don't confuse normal counting with swing counting (on the thirds or whatev is called). Also, it is also recommended to have some section where no percussion is heard and melody takes over, it can be an underscore drone or a simple pad, something to ease the listener from hearing beats all the time (it can also be a transition, not necessarily a full 8/16 beat. Lastly, take notice of your lows in the equalizer, you might need to suppress middle-bass a little to give space for the other frequencies to be heard (at least from what I heard).
Keep it up man, good job on the tracks, can't wait to listen more
Alright, let's get down to business. Press play and then read below.
"Black Dice. Ah man, the hottest and most expensive entertainment around. Can't wait for the week to be over, then call on the guys and visit on Saturday Night. They have "Massage India" event again, can't wait. Its absolutely crowded with people, yet the venue still looks as if it can hold even more. I don't know how they do it man, but you never have to wait to get a massage, or gamble, let alone dance in the small disco. And what is the greatest thing about this place is the flow. It never breaks. You go do this, then you see this other thing, you go do that, and while that happens you also do the other stuff. Its as if they made a contract with time itself, because the moment you step in the venue, time flows very fast. They even added this new system now, where they scan you and keep you on their system if you have visited again, no need for queues and doors to be in your way.
NATURE'S BEST - ROOM A
Mainly where most slots, golf courses and PAFs (PIck a Fight Vitrual Arena) are. Mostly used for gambling, this room's characteristic is the huge waterfall in the middle of the room (also know as "waterfall room").
SMALL DISCO - ROOM B
A cute name, really, as this is the largest disco room I 've ever seen. If you walk from one side to the other, it takes 1 full minute. There are also some VIP parts on the south side, but I 've never been there to know. The DJ is above the room, on a saturn ring that constantly rotates. Preyy fancy stuff man, I am telling you.
THE COMPLEX - Multiple Rooms
This is my favorite part, man. This area, room, whetever it is, is like a bazaar of entertainment. You walk in the corridor in the center and see little rooms on the left/right that have this and that. You can find more gambling games here, call ins for massage bots, golf, pool, karate duck (a variation of cricket), uhmm, there is more but I can't remember now. It's my favorite area though, if I haven't said it already.
Its great man, I wonder who owns that place. He must make real big buck in there...
But you know what? They deserve it, the place rocks."
Hey, first time posting on the cyberpunk forums. Big cyberpunk fan. Made a cinematic cyberpunk track about a year ago and I've been looking for a place to share it with other cyberpunk fans and finally stumbled upon this thread, so thought I would share it here. Mostly inspired by Blade Runner and 80's sci-fi music in general, aswell as the Deus Ex: HR soundtrack. Wanted to keep that retro feel while at the same time having a slighty more modern cinematic feel to it aswell. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Nice one, I like it! I love when composers take that extra step and make the track longer. Anything after the 5 min mark gets my respect in appreciation of the work that has been put into it. Regarding the composition, I liked most of the track, there was a point somewhere after the middle part that I felt it was dragging longer than it should but apart from that, pretty good!
Feel free to post more if you want. I am having some trouble editing the OP, once I get it sorted out I ll add your track to the list.
