Cyberdeck and Base RAM

I have the default cyberdeck, Militech Paraline. It has a Base RAM of 2, but when I scan something the heads-up tells me I have 5 RAM available. I know that each Intelligence point increases cyberdeck RAM by 4%. My Int is at 6, which would get me from 4 to 5, but not 2 to 5. Does anyone know how this is supposed to work? Thanks.

I literally created an account to ask this question. I have the exact same numerical values as you and have the exact same confusion. Also, when I ping, which is supposed to cost 1 ram, it takes 3, bringing me down from 5 to 2. Super confused and I never received any tutorial on this.

I'm having the same dilemma!

My int is 5 and my ram is 4. The only thing I can think of is that the game is glitched and instead of adding 4%, it must add 1 ram each time you level up?

Perks in Quickhacks would add some RAM.
Some Cyberware adds flat RAM.
All +% is multiplicative, not additive.
Check yourself.
