Cyberpunk 2077 getting full VR support tomorrow?

+
I just saw an official VITURE release of Cyberpunk 2077 glasses to be teased just today, day before 5th anniversary.

I've been saying it some time now that this game should be the Half Life Alex style game that would get full VR support and push VR gaming further. It's already sold so much copies in traditional PC marketplace (I don't have numbers but I bet it's not very good shooter experience in consoles and I expect sales kinda be more PC focused), so what better place to go next than full VR?

I realize some unofficial mods for VR already exist but this should be as supported as games like Subnautica VR, where you don't need to install 3rd party mods to support. Also moving to full VR experience would likely mean the control setup would also have to be adjusted slightly.

TBH when choosing between 3rd person and having VR, I'd much rather have VR... it's just I also want the mirrors and reflections to work properly so we get to see our character in reflections.

Would be super impressed if they got mirrors and reflections to show the character in real time but I wouldn't get my hopes up on that front. It would involve rendering a separate character model at all times to use for the reflections. If they were able to do that without causing performance to nosedive that would be truly amazing, but given that they couldn't in the game as is it seems a very remote possibility.

"Cyberpunk 2077 getting full VR support tomorrow?"

Would buy those awesome shades just for looks.

Also, these types of glasses are not "VR". They create a 3D effect by stacking 2D layers a bit. It's not the same thing as putting on something like an Oculus Rift with satellite receivers that provide a full 8 axes of movement. It's more like a "Paper Mario" effect or watching an I-Max movie with 3D glasses on. It layers elements of the screen making near-field and far-field geometry appear to have more depth.
