Hmm, I just have been compiling stuff with icc on my linux box, but still no prime time there unfortunately. This wouldn't surprise me necessarily at all, I mean the state of bugs of the game and ICC, rather than the "they might be hacking the code to make amd perfomr worse). Athough we better follow this up, I have a ryzen and this game is being meh yo on perfomance yo!

Thanks, my 1% lows are good now. I never dip below 50fps. It used to dip below 40 sometimes.

Anyone has any idea why was that reddit post and the user deleted? Was this not a good thing?

I was trying a bit, I mean, my ryzen isn't bottlenecking so, and when I was testing with the normal vs the changed byte, it did seem to be allcores vs. like perfomance boost, dunno, but I mean to me, it is the GPU anyway bottlenecking. I don't know what the byte fips; it was probably deleted because the context was misplaced. Feel free to run with the byte changed, IF your cpu was bottlenecking and is an amd, this might help, by all means.

I wouldn't worry about it, the fix is just changing a single hexcode. I personally can state that this fix does improve performance and utilises the CPU properly, but I still get frame drops and a drop in CPU usage when turning the camera whilst driving.

It still a side thing that you have to do it, which they can do it easily on a proper patch.

Do CDPR plan to fix this?

Certainly, this is not something that people should have to do themselves or should be an issue in the first place. For all the people on here who know about this there will be 10 others who don't.

This fix was recently suggested for AMD. I don't know if it helps in this case, though:

Amd Performance Fix - Mod on Nexus

Hello, I found a very interesting mod on Nexus that is called "Amd Performance Fix". I opened "Task Manager" when Cyberpunk 2077 was running without fix and with fix and noticed clearly that it worked on my cpu (AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor). If you have a AMD cpu don't hesitate to visit...

Tested the fix with Ryzen 9 3900X but it didn't change anything, I suppose in my case the game is GPU bottlenecked already.

Fix doesn't seem to work on 5900x. Still stuck at sub 60 while testing at 540p......

I think the fix is fine, it's just that 5900X already has so many cores, that the game is bottlenecked by the GPU, not by the CPU. You can monitor your GPU load to check that.

I.e. I think the fix is more critical for lower end CPUs where the game is CPU bottlenecked without the fix.

I'm not GPU limited at 540p low settings on a 3080 though...

No idea then. I have RX 5700XT and it loads my GPU to 100% at medium settings (testing it on Linux, Wine-testing + vkd3d-proton).

I get around 40-50 fps at 2560x1440. So that looks GPU limited to me.
