Cyberpunk 2077 on Boosteroid - all 'settings' lost after ending session.

+
Good evening, everyone.

I was wondering if anyone else has run into this issue or perhaps knows what might be causing it.

I've been playing Cyberpunk 2077 on Boosteroid for a long time, and until recently everything worked perfectly.

Now, however, something very strange is happening. My 'cloud save files' are completely fine, but every single in-game setting is reset after I end a 'Boosteroid session'. That includes graphics, keybinds, gameplay settings - literally everything.

It is too much to configure every time to just get on with it.

The odd part is this:

If I quit the game to the 'Steam interface' without ending the Boosteroid session, You know - the Steam library window with the green 'Play' button, then launch it again, all settings are still there! That means that Steam do 'remember' them correctly.

But - the moment I //end the Boosteroid session and start a new one later//, every setting has been wiped: every single setting, from graphics to keybinds.

This behavior only started recently, and it's honestly a rather bizarre problem - I have been using cloud Gaming for years.

I've also noticed something new that never appeared before: there's now an "Activate Windows" watermark in the bottom-right corner of the screen of the Boosteroid screen ; ]]]

That makes me wonder whether a server configuration may have been just... done wrong.

Has anyone else experienced this issue—specifically, losing all in-game settings after ending a Boosteroid session?

Give Me some hints, ways to fix it - it obviously can't be "impossible" because game worked just fine for a long, long time.

Thank You in advance,
Paweł.

It sounds like the remote machine may not be recognizing or perhaps overriding your local game settings file. Just running through some quick research online, it seems that Boosteroid dynamically connects you to an available machine when you launch a game and does not, by default, save configuration settings. Therefore, if your settings were saved in the past, it might be that you simply connected to the same host machine (that recognized your changes.)

Another thought is that the "Activate Windows" message you're seeing may be on the server/host side. Since you're connected to the streaming data, it may simply be displaying on your screen. If their host machine is running with limited Windows functionality, perhaps that's preventing Steam from successfully uploading your local settings. You may want to contact Boosteroid and see what they say.

Just some deduction and speculation, though. I've never used any cloud service like that before.

never used Boosteroid either. Here is their info regarding settings:

So it looks like you can reach out to Boosteroid to have them change settings.
