Cyberpunk 2077 — Our Commitment to Quality

+
Just a little support for the developer, that made a great games with issues, sure, but this has got out of proportion very fast.
and in spite of a full refund campaign never been seen before, the bashing only goes harder, on the only developer that feel guilty for this kind of situation.

pursuing that road will only bring us dealing with the other kind of developers. the one who don't care.

i really enjoyed cyberpunk 2077. i'm totally aware of the issue and i'm waiting for some bugfixes for my second playthrough, still, i'm glad to have cyberpunk, that i gave money to this company, glad that the developer are addressing this, and i cant understand the rage.

if someone was so angry about something you did wrong, that you recognize it and are addressing it, i am sure you will find it disturbing and exaggerated too.

You're of course right it comes down to personal taste.
But, you now have heard of one ^^
I really like V, can't stand Geralt. So much so I never touched a single Witcher game after playing the first 2 hrs of the first one.

For real? I guess there truly is a first time for everything. Though I do think Geralt from Witcher 1 is quite different from Witcher 3, if that helps you ever want to go back to that series. The first Witcher's tone in general is incredibly dark and pessimistic compared to the third game, and it definitely has a lot more of that raw Slavic influence emanating in terms of mood. W3 is a lot more upbeat and snappy. Testament to that is the fact that you can't even make super edgy choices in the W3 (at least not to my memory) while in W1 you can do some horrific things. I personally prefer the first one, but I can definitely see why another person might not like it. I totally respect that though.

There are many bad salesman out there spatting nonsense, guess I have to telI them I am from Australia to make a honest out of them.
It has helped me in a few situations, not just interacting with sales overseas, but in day to day life. A lot of places here just think you will accept their no refund policy or buy the extended warranty when the warranty doesn't even cover what we are entitled to by default. I am sure half the time the sales person doesn't even know and thinks store policy is the law.

I have no ire towards the devs.
Even bugs or performance isn't a big issue for me. (Yes, I am on PC)

What disappointed me the most about Cyberpunk 2077 is the clear cut/rushed content.

Everywhere I go within the game I encounter things that make me feel that the game is bare bone and unfinished.

Even if the game was launched with no bugs or performance issues on all platforms, there are issues that needs to be addressed and talked about.

I won't go into details, because I and so many passionate and CDPR/Cyberpunk 2077 loving community, already are voicing our impression and giving constructive suggestions on this forum and modders already try to fill in the gaps.

Have a blessed day and best of luck!

Yes there are bugs that need to be fixed. But I wont jump on a bandwagon to critic it. playing on a good PC i have no issues when it comes to quality, settings high, ultra, psycho, game visually is amazing. music is great, 10/10 to the music artists who dedicated their time, I love the street guitar solos also lol. Finished the story with 2 different life paths to the point I had no map markers anymore, IT'S mind boggling the amount of work that went into this game, quest wise (do the side quests), dialogue wise, voiceovers, facial animations, amount of details, I could go on. Thanks for making the game CD Project. That said at the end of the game, I cant help but to feel unfulfilled, hopefully DLCs will fix that, there's so much potential for so much more.
PS I just want to say Thank You to Everyone who worked on this game, I believe It will get better (plz don't make me regret our trust in you CD Project, we dont need any more bethesda's), I also hope there's much more content to come.

We all know there are many glitches in the game although I havent experienced any crashes so far. I and many other gamers appreciate that you are doing your utmost to resolve these issues and at least you have the decency to apologise for any mistakes. That is a refreshing change in this world. Loving the game and looking forward to further content. All the best!

So i'm going to say that yes, the game is complex but not the version released. The one your team aimed for.

What so complex about the NPC AI behavior? if any action on self do crouch and say this, apply all. Done. That is how it feels.
Whats so complex about the LOD system? Cars and NPC literally pop in and out of existence in your face.
Whats so complex about a NPC routine behavior of walking around the bloc and stop for a soda. Dude that's like 2 animations in loop.
Come on man, i'm 6 months into game dev and already i can create this shit myself. You allowed the graphics designers to go berserks and create such a beautiful world rich and detailed of future humanity and you cut down on animations and diversity coding??? bruh i dont know.

PS: no hate here, just that i call your bullshit. The potential of this game was and maybe it still is huge, i played it on a high-end PC, finished it once ,enjoyed my 80+ hours play, tried to laugh at the bad more then get angry. But don't sugar coat it.

I get that. I'm just as interested in that, but not asking for it now, since it's been a month since release, but there has been a good time inbetween that month that the Developers finally took a break. Coming month should be re-evaluation to even realistically say whether they're able to bring what they've promised, which then again will need time in-between to be brought back/implemented. Work in the time they need just for bug fixing and mainly reaching stability, as well as then they're going to have to make a plan for how they'll handle for ex. AI... Who knows whether getting AI up to the promissed level is possible without having to divide platforms, where last-gen stays with terrible AI and PC gets to see better AI behavior... Whether they're going to optimize and optimize until they've got the space to improve aspects on AI over console and PC. There's going to be a lot of time evaluating whether they can pull it off, how long it may take to do that and then probably if it's worth promising it, when there's almost always an invisible roadblock in a project that sets back the expected time
I know what you mean. But some of this stuff is well within the realm of possibility. For example,
I just don't see them putting in the work for that. But I honestly hope you're right.
Tbh three different opening segments with the majority of the dlc being the same isn't too bad. It would only be the first mission or two that would differ.

Suppose we will see.

I'm not sure what the point of this video was. It came off as desperate and disingenuous probably done for legal reasons. It was a lot of "we made a mistake", but "we didn't make a mistake". Then to say that the PC launch was "good" is a stretch. I had plenty of crashes and bugs. I got into the habit of saving the game before I opened the Inventory menus because the game crashes constantly when in the menus. Resulting in me flipping off my monitor and laughing. I don't think that was the desired response...

There is a ton of cut content and common sense features that are missing. If I hear CDPR is adding some of those features back into the game I'll consider buying another product from them, but for now CP2077 looks to be the last title I pick up from them.

Did you looked at the roadmap? There will be DLC this year, just not early.
We've waited like for 10 years, we can wait for 4/5 months.
CDPRs vocabulary-DLC(small free cosmetic addons, maybe small side quest ala TW3 16 free DLC)
Expantion(big payed story focused dlc )
So yeah... no story "DLC" this year according to the roadmap.

I just wanted to say... Thank you for not making your employees crunch and do mandatory overtime. This is just a videogame and not as important as the wellbeing and family lives of your employees.

I'm sure that with time and patience you will have better fixes for these issues than rushing everything to the table- which seems to have pretty much been the reason you're in this mess to begin with.

Also thank you for a very decent game. Yes it has its bugs and imo poor optimization, but I have thoroughly enjoyed it myself.

I am very happy you guys are owning up to your mistakes publicly, and simply trying what you can within reason to fix them.

At this point I hope the morale of your team isn't too low, because I am confident they will bring this game to the glory it was meant to be within a few months.

You made a great game, I like the game world and characters. But I'm begging you to do a normal sleep animation for V. Now I'm not even comfortable going home and going to bed after any mission.I'm serious. And why V can't sleep in her love interest's bed, like in Judy's apartment, is also very stressful. Please fix it

One shouldn't have to thank a company for not demanding crunch of their employees.

The fact that they have to state that there will be no crunch now to fix the game only shows how damaged their image already is. And they know it.

Should have made Cyberpunk Shelter for last gen consoles and phones.

I'm hoping the old toasters don't hold back the potential for this game going forward, on newer, more capable machines.

Where do I even begin. The fact that you are criticizing the glitches in this game and not referencing your own game experience. And yes- you have to.
I'm 141 hours in on PC as Streetkid. on a 1080ti that I got in 2018. I'm on medium settings and my computer runs worse when I play Witcher 3 with 8k mods. I'ma Skyrim vet with 188 active mods... years before peopl;e started putting it on youtube.
We know about the glitches. The problem you have to face is... why are you on the official forum complaining.
Do us a favor and tell us what you have attempted to play this game on.
I agree with your AI and physics comments.. but it sounds to me like you didn't even get through the Prologue. I have seen cars flip around and fly from a stopped position because I tried to walk across the street. But you know what's on my mind.. it isn't the glitches. They can be fixed. It's when Jackie talks to me on my next playthrough.
Skyrim launched without PC button key bindings.
Doom 3 was leaked and melted our video cards from the alpha version.
I was in highschool when my friend was playing Morrowind at 12fps. One of em.
The rest of us were in CS or QUAKE.

How am I proud? Because I love the game. It makes GTA5 look like a Disney movie for kids under 6. And I'm playing 2077 it on a 3 year old computer.
I hope CDPR reads all of this. You guys rock. Keep it up!!

Where did i mentioned bugs and glitches? I see you have a serious issue with comprehensive reading.

I'm 33 hours in and i don't plan on keep on playing. At least until most of the basic problems in the core mechanics (not bugs, not glitches) are fixed, if they are fixed.

If i were a game developer (which of course i'm not) i would not feel proud of this work by any means. Could not be proud if a 6 / 7 year old game can do stuff better than what i have designed.

By the way, i'm on a Ryzen 5 3600 (more than enough) and a RTX 2060 (more than enough to enjoy this game at ultra setttings), and still. Why should i care about a beautiful empty game? I mean, it's really underwhelming for me when i'm just so in my V's world and i think, ok we're going to do some cool stuff now but as soon as i equip my mantis blades my shadows start to act like the goofiest thing i've seen in a videogame (Of course talking about MODERN games). Or when i want to start a shooting and just let go my primal instincts but as soon as i kill one guy IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT 5 cops just pop up and kill me. How can i enjoy that lack of immersion and poor design? You tell me. How can i enjoy following a pedestrian to see where he goes because as CDPR said, NPCs will have actual daily routines throughout night and day only to realize they just stupid mindless beings that turn around everytime they see something blocking their way. How come people like you just overlook all this HUGE details only because of 'good graphics' (Beautiful but not impressive. I have seen better in the current gen). The story is good, but good is just that. It's not excelent, is not something i will remember all my life. Is just there and that's it (will have to check that out again when i actually finish the game).

Do you think i don't have the right to want them to acknowledge this and just say something about it? For what i see, they're not planning on do so. They are blatantly lying once again and we all notice, except of course, the blind sheep herd which loves everything their gods do, even if it's sticking a fist through their throats.

Listen gonna be honest with ya'll.

PC version has less bugs but its just as big of a letdown.

Can you please address the animation issues first and most importantly, Can You Make Pedestrian NPC's not act like spastic monkeys?

I'm tired of them jumping or teleporting in front of my car everytime I'm trying to pull inside a alleyway, like The Afterlife, then run off screaming cyberphycho.

The world also feels barren.

Its so bad, and that's just one of many issues, like melee fights where the opponent changes direction mid-air as he jumps to hit you, vehicle collision being an absolute mess, not even gonna bother explaining how horrid water looks, massive traffic in the distance just vanishing in mid air (mostly in the badlands), floating trash piles, etc.

Who tested your game before you released? Bots?
Sorry, but some half assed script read apology ain't gonna cut it, you want our respect back, you wanna prove you're better than the rest of the joke AAA gaming companies out there, don't ever release broken and content lacking games with the promise to fix them later.
Expected much more, severely let down, and this was the first game I pre-ordered since Fallout 4 (which was also a big dissapointment).
Take good care of the DLC you'll release in the future.

Regards
Still a fan (barely)

That is true. But that would also disregard the other possible "endings".
And while I wouldn't mind them going with that it also puts them into a difficult position.

But yeah, we'll see. Though I have no intention to stick around the game or CDPR for that long. I am kinda done with them.
This Forum is more therapy than anything at this point for me.
