Cyberpunk 2077 — Our Commitment to Quality

They delivered on everything they promised. What they didn't deliver on was the massive amount of assumptions people made based on concept art or development footage. They're not responsible for peoples fantasies, nor their disappointment when their unfounded assumptions aren't included in the game.

The amount of disinformation around this game is nothing short of astounding. From imaginary "cut content" to "choices don't matter" lies. This game is the most in depth RPG ever created, hands down. For people to act as if Skyrim or some other third rate shallow game is anywhere near this is laughable. I followed this development since the first trailer. Only difference is I didn't inject my personal assumptions into the game like the vocal minority of this community seem to have. I expected something just as good as Witcher 3, and received a game that was even better.

What, that it runs surprisingly well?

720p 30 fps is the standard for last gen console games. The fact that a game as dense and complex as this one can run at that performance is surprisingly well...
As much as I do like Cyberpunk despite all the bugs and flaws, it's difficult to consider it an RPG, let alone an in depth one. If we are going to talk about in depth RPG I'd refer to Fallout: New Vegas, or even better the isometric ones that are even older.

It seems like their main goal is just to fix the bugs because they can be fined up to 10% of their income from UOKIK if they don't deliver which is concerning.

After all the lies I can't really take what CDPR says at face value anymore. That privilege is gone and can only be trusted again with their actions. Even in their "apology" it had deflection in it. They can not tell us that they had no idea that THEIR game was this bad especially when they blocked console review footage before release. They also didn't even mention the lack of features and poor AI that severely holds the game back.

At this point I only expect them to just fix bugs, which should be a priority, but I don't think they will be fixing the core of the game much afterward.

This post is shocking and embarrassing. I can't even.

right? You don't have to condemn CDPR to hell and wish them to go bankrupt [...].

What I expect from CDPR to win back my trust is to start communicating with fans directly, show that they take complaints about content issues seriously and not just fix bugs because this is what media, investors and Sony are mostly interested in. Even if the game was completely bug-free, at the moment I would not play it again because of all the other issues.

The AI and physics. Hope quality includes this. Its one big illusion sadly. The city, soulless, barren, dead, is very beautiful and well made. Money worth converted to entertainment value, having more then 300 hours clocked into this game. But sadly, the more this game is played, the more of the flaws just sticks out like a sore thumb. Not the bugs, glitches or crashes, those can be fixed. But the core, the depth, that is a very, very worrying issue. In addition to how sad this game was to complete. It was just as sad to see how much potential was sacrificed on the alter of money. A game with corporations as the big bad wolf. It is very ironic. Mr. Iwinskis apology seemed more directed to regards of the lawsuits that are in action. Then the players, who saw this as one of the last few(if not only) hopes for a proper rpg single player game. This is no rpg game, that is, an illusion.

Like you all been hyped for b this game , HOWEVER it's still is unplayable on PS5 console , plays for half hour then crashes , fortunately I have a gaming pc and plays flawlessly on that platform , anyone else have issues on next gen as well ?
What games you looking forward to this year ?

VERY PROUD of fake stats and perks that do nothing and mods that do nothing? It was supposed revolutionize the genre. It turned out it doesn't even fit in the genre, and the only RPG elements that actually got included such as character progression are at a level of a third world mobile phone Diablo spin-off from 2 decades ago. I mean... fake stats that do nothing? Proud? Come on!

Is THIS gonna get fixed? The actual game play? The actual stuff like guns with 150% crit chance? And evasion doing nothing. And dmg multipliers vs. mid and high threat and move speed doing nothing? And bad math resulting in critting stuff at your level for 50x their health on very hard? The Contagion godmode? The actual endgame?

Now I read the comments of other users and I see that they are not worried about the performance of the console versions!
You, the leadership of the CDPR, do not seem to understand at all what the players want.

The game came out bad. And it needs to be altered WHOLE.
Rewrite the main plot. Replace boring side quests with good ones. Return tons and tons of clipped content. Make more unique weapons and clothing. Reduce the number of cancer looter shooter mechanics.

Instead, we are promised a good, stable version on PS4. Pffff! No. This is not what we are waiting for.

No can do.
The plot cannot be redone: are you crazy? Keanu Reeves performance is not as cheap as you think! And that also includes all the other actors for the mocap and voice actors for all the various language translations.
Not to mention the fact that it would need to basically start the game all over again.

It's just dumb and unrealistic to expect a plot remake from them; instead, they should focus on the gameplay aspects that can still be implemented at the current state.

Cyberpunk still has awesome potential to be the best game of this gen.. I will not refund it but I will not play it yet, either. It looks great and runs like hot butter with my 3090, but I will wait for a couple of major patches before I start.
Yes it does has plenty of potential to add more greatness, This is my favorite game and yes i understand people are upset especially last gen console users, But it just came out not to long ago. ad more things that take a long time to obtain Trophies for your apartment, gold arms/legs. Maybe buying different apartments I personally like the one we got in building 10(really gives that night city feel) lots of people don't even bother with it though. The gun display was a great idea and you can see add on in your apartment as you finish certain quest's. Add some of the cut content(yes they cut content) understandable in certain cases. okay back to the thready we are PC master race my 2070 super runs really well with this game. Thank you for reading i know i went off subject a bit but i just finished a pot of coffee. Thank you

awsome guys. So glad to hear from you. I am in it for the long run with this game, and i truly enjoy it, even with the bugs. That beeing said.... Does the police fall under the category "Bugs"? because imo, they and such a broken part of the game it is not even funny. I would rather you removed them completly, than keep them as they are.

The community is gonna be here & wait, CDPR. Let's prove it to us that you guys can do it. This is surely not the end & I personally simply want more Cyberpunk 2077 to be fully realized & then some more.

Hey, everybody! ;)

I’ve listened to what the co-founder of CDPR has said in the company’s commitment to quality video. I just somehow feel that this statement was primarily given as a result of the pressure from pending lawsuits, loss of revenue from game sales and the Polish Consumer Protection tightening the screws on CDPR. So what did we get? An apology, a commitment to fix the bugs and crashes on all platforms and a promise to continue to work to improve the game through future updates beyond that. Basically that’s what it was. So from what I understand that’s talking about sorting out everything that was put into the game at launch and nothing else. No cut content or anything like that. Maybe that’s what’s coming up in future DLCs (free/paid). I don’t know.

I also notice that people are still upset about the game they are sitting with. I don’t blame them. They have a right to be. I know I am. I believe I’ve been sold a product which was not the one advertised. Some may say we who pre-ordered deserved that. I agree with them. How can we blindly purchase a game like that, right! Well, I can’t speak for others but I can tell you that I purchased it because I loved the concept that was being presented. The idea of being able to play in a futuristic world with a cyberpunk theme was irresistible for me. I also agree when some people say that it was shown in videos that the game was a work in progress and may differ from the final product. But tell me, how could I have known that the game would fall so far off the mark, eh! I thought well…I will at least get a game that retains the core of what was shown! But anyway, I called it wrong and…well…I got burned for it.

But you know what…Thinking about it, I feel this is just a game we’re talking about here! Nothing life threatening or anything like that! However, I notice that people are venting out their frustrations and anger in various ways about the state the game is in right now. It’s understandable I guess. Granted, people have paid money for it and feel that they have been cheated or scammed. Granted also that many here are die-hard fans and have been waiting for years for this game to come out, only having the game fail to live up to their expectations. I feel for all of you! I really do! And I just want to say that we’re all in this together, ok!

Anyway, what did CDPR’s co-founder mean when he said that console review keys or something were given out on 8 December? I’m kind of confused! Anyone know? :)

Keep it up folks. More power to you, and best wishes!

I'm playing on a PC that's below minimum requirements for the processor, and just above minimum on the video card. And I'm having a blast. Very playable, insanely enjoyable. Sure there's glitches, but this is the deepest, most ambitious game like this I've ever played. So there's going to be bumps.

Some fanboi rant: Story is SOOOO GREAT! Character development is deep and satisfying. Combat is silly fun! Lots of nice touches that make playing more intuitive. Humor and easter eggs (ex. red pill, blue pill) very entertaining. Story is SOOOO GREAT! lol

Looking forward to free and paid DLC. Looking forward to full mod support. Praying for more Judy story; well, more story period! And of course looking forward to more optimizations/bug fixes.

Best of luck and skill to get you through this folks. And whoever was involved in the story needs a big raise and a medal.

IDK..it seems like we were told lots without telling us anything..its like a one sided convo..they need someone to get back to us and are questions regularly and give us true hope..not this apology and then don't answer any of our real questions..yes we know you will fix the bugs..but what about cut content and dead end storyline.. Evelyn asks you to turn on Dex and if you say yes.. it doesn't matter..it plays out the same and never addresses it..everything is so rushed..you meet Dex do a couple jobs..BANG! Its over..next story..now you are trying to survive..but then you put dying on hold to buy vehicles and get mr.nibbles. Come on! Flesh out the story..that whole Jonny story could be the second half of the game..the first half could be growing as a mercenary and getting rep (which is pointless now) let us buy cars and do mercenary missions while not dying..make it a long story..who cares if people didn't finish the Witcher 3..I didn't and I'm just taking my time enjoying it..if Cyberpunk was very long and so much to do..gamers would love it..read the comments..people are getting lost in this world..loving it..LISTEN TO THE FANS..WE LOVE THIS GAME AND WE WANT MORE..even people are asking about Cyberpunk 2 already. Make this game better.

Some issues other than mission bugs:
1) Interaction with NC's citizens. They're pretty much lifeless apart from just walking around. Even bumping into them has little to no consequence. Majority of them are just walking around. We don't see much interaction between a citizen to another citizen.

2) AI vehicle behavior. Stopping the traffic has no consequence. They don't drive around or over you, just wait until you move away. Even if your parked vehicle is slightly on the road, the cars behind will detect your car and wont move, even when there is sufficient space.

3) NPC's vehicle don't obey traffic rules during missions (non combat state: when the NPC drives you to the destination).

To summarize, the AI in the game is lifeless, like robots with little to no character (maybe this is what the developers are trying to portray, where everyone is mindless and lifeless).

And lastly, is it me or does V always seem shorter than most NPC? I seldom see eye level with another NPC, mostly it's me looking upwards :ROFLMAO:

I forgot where I originally saw this and it might not be a perfect quote, but my feelings on this post can be summarized by one line I've been using about this game since I finished it:

"I wish this game wasn't so buggy so we could talk about everything wrong with it."

Free DLC is one thing, but any update on problems that the game never should've had to begin with? Off the top of my head, for example, someone should be terminally embarrassed by the current police system.

Thank you CDPR for adding C77 to my personal all-time top 10. It's without any exaggeration breathtaking.

You have made a mistake of intentionally trying to attract GTA/Rockstar fans though. It was a fuckup. And now you will have to drive them away or virtually lure and pen them away somehow because otherwise you will see no end to this 'anger'. FFS 'angry' is an identity for those things, a YT keyword for a daily search for secondhand emotions.

There is a marked difference in doing something for RPG/adventure folks and doing something for social gaming/media folks - and Witcher3 which was not in a significantly better state at release is the proof of costs and payoffs. C77 itself does explain that pretty eloquently - as in you can work for folks like Padre and Dakota and you can do it for folks like Dex. Best case scenario in the latter case is forever limiting yourself to coding hooker death animations and emergent traffic behaviour.

Anyway thanks for C77
