Ok guys, I hope you see this and I hope it helps someone. I have tried EVERY fix here and on steam boards. I have tried unsintalling, deleting appdata cache, tried deleting the Usersettings, uninstalling graphics drivers, upgraded my graphics card (I am using a GeForce 1050 ti, and I bought a GTX 1070) I have tried running as admin and launching from the .exe, installing GOG and disabling the overlay, allowed the game through the firewall, turned the firewall off entirely during install, turned off steam overlay, every overlay, verified files, I mean I have tried EVERYTHING, no go. It freezes after tutorial.
I bought it on steam, I use a game controller. I have an i5 dell inspirion tower that I've replaced all the shit in and it's a medium level rig.

I turned on big picture mode today, I never use it but I figured I'd give it a shot, wth nothing else has worked. Big picture mode is a steam mode that is for people who play with controllers. Go to the view option in the top left hand corner of steam, select big picture mode, let it load and try to launch the game.

I loaded from a previous save and this time, I load in the garage and it says get of the car. Before, it just crashed as soon as it showed me sitting in the car. I hope this helps you guys.

Man, I want to like this game but I'm stressing with this crashing... On a side mission against militech, I did well pre-crash, killed most of the enemies and just going round looting. Game crash, puts me right back to the beginning and now getting my ass handed to me every time. AC: Valhalla required an underclock to work, surely this can't be the same here? Whats going on with game development that doesnt allow overclocking to squeeze every ounce of quality from these games?

Just throwing this out there, after trying everything under the sun to get the game to stop crashing (including going from Win10 ver 1909 to 20H2), I have played two 6 hour sessions without a crash. I updated my motherboard bios, which was still on the version it came with back in 2017 with a much newer one that came out in May. Don't know if it was random that this worked, but I haven't been able to play this much since the game released.

I've installed an older Nvidia driver 457.09 (release 10/29/20). As for now, the game is stable, no more problems with interface screens. I still must test various graphics settings.

Hi all, I was watching this thread from day 1 where there were only 6 pages, by the end of the first day I'd had about 112 crashes in total trying to troubleshoot but have finally managed to fix my issues. I was crashing every 5 minutes with everything on ultra + RT, if I set everything to low I could last maybe 30m - 1h. These are my specs for the curious:

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x stock
GPU: Aorus 3080 Master stock 10GB
RAM: Corsair vengeance 2x8 - 3600MHz
SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB
Windows Version: 10.0.19042 Build 19042

I tried following the advice on the website to uninstall drivers using DDU but it didn't work. What I had to end up doing was this (1 and 2 were the main winners I believe but I will list everything that I did):

1) Uninstall drivers using DDU

2) Remove ALL reference to Nvidia that I could find on the system as DDU still leaves some files lying around.
A) Check your app data folder (C:\Users\*Your user*\AppData\Local) and see if there are any Nvidia folders. If there are, delete them.
B) Check the roaming folder too (C:\Users\*Your user*\AppData\Roaming)
C) Check "C:\Program Files" and "C:\Program Files (x86)"

Essentially, check anywhere and everywhere for any Nvidia files / folders you can, and delete them before you do a full reinstall of the latest drivers.

3) Reinstall latest drivers.

4) AMD CPU only - I don't know if this one has made a difference, but worth a shot. Update your chipset drivers -https://www.amd.com/en/support

5) I have a 144hz monitor and a 60hz monitor, I changed my main monitor to the 60hz one, and set the 144hz monitor to the one the game should display on in the settings within Cyberpunk.

6) I did a reinstall of the game, don't think this helped, also don't think it's even worth doing as long as your files are all validated, but worth a shot.

Conclusion: I have only crashed twice in 16+ hours of playing now, and like I said, the turning point seemed to be when I removed everything I could related to Nvidia.

Hi all, I've been having many GPU random crashes since launch, and I've tried a lot of the different things mentioned here or elsewhere. I was especially perma crashing during the Playing for Time mission.

The solution that worked for me (or seems at least for now) is simply to change from Borderless Windowed to Windowed.
Just dropping that here in case that can help someone.

Here are my specs:

OS: Windows 7
CPU: i7 3770K
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: GTX 1070 with latest driver (460.89)
HDD
(nothing overclocked)

I'm currently playing with Medium graphic parameters but it's mainly to get at least around 30 FPS, higher parameters might work too.
No V-Sync, no Mods.

I've been able to go through the Playing for Time mission at the first attempt (while i crashed at least 20 times before, each time exactly at the same moment), and then play for 3h in a row without another crash except in menus.

I've just seen 2 crashes, both while going from the Journal tab to the Inventory tab in the character menu (with I).
So by avoiding that and closing the Journal before going in the Inventory, I had no more issues.

It's kinda random but I hope it can work for somebody else.

At this point, since most people without AVX support on their CPU are aware of the fix on Nexus Mods, this error is going to be more exclusively tied to people without SSE4 instructions rather than AVX instructions.

Hey so was one of the ones who was plagued with crashing issues. like lucky if I could make it 30 minutes without a crash. I was getting those unknown gpu error crashes.

I did some things yesterday. I Ran windows reset and kept installed applications in an effort to repair windows. I used DDU and purged my nvidia drivers entirely (in safe mode) reinstalled em. Also ran windows repair aio from tweaking.com after the previous 2 things and started my game over. (Also shut down icue since someone mentioned that causing them issues.)

Ran the game for 11 hours today and it only crashed once. I turned off my video card of since it was again a GPU error but yeah it seems it was a fluke, other than that one crash though its been flawless, and I'm in love with the game.

Had several gpu crashes which seem to be related to Hacking/Quickhacking.

Attached my System. Driver should be up to date. Game usally runs fine except when i
0. Have a mission with 5-10 targets (I used NCPD missions)
1. Hack CCTV (with breach protokoll)
2. Mark targets and switch between cctv [never got spotted might be related?]
3. use short circuits/reboot eyes and switch between cctv views (alot)

this might take up to 10-30 minutes to make the crash happen. Switching a lot between cctvs might accelerate that problem, but couldn't verify that.

With quicksaving you can somehow (often) you can manage to "brute force" yourself those missions.

This actually worked for me.
Just change UserSettings file to read only. I've tried everything in past 2 days, but tried this fix and it works!

What he^ said, this is one of those things were if you don't know what it is you shouldn't even consider doing it. And frankly, you shouldn't ever have to do this for any reason ever. Only extreme tinkerers need to bother with such things. Or maybe perhaps trying to recover a FUBAR card.

My game doesn't start since day 1. I alwaysh have this "Whoa! Cyberpunk 2077 has flatlined" error.
I tried AVX fix (my cpu supports avx btw), Reinstalled 3 times, updated gpu driver and etc. I have tried all possible solutions you have described here but nothing is changed. Still same problem when I click play button on launcher, or trying to launch with exe file. I can't understand what is wrong.
Here's my system, pleae help me this game turned out to be a huge disaster for me.
