Ya it worked to the the garage, then after the cops show and the scene finishes the game crashes again and you cant save, so the same trick wont work. But at least I got to that point so that's a start.

Spent 30 minutes in character creation.
Finished and launched the game.

It seems the problem might be with the drivers, however multiple reinstalling the latest and the previous ones with the DDU cleaning did not fix the issue.
Installation repair from Steam did not happen to reveal any corrupted files, total reinstalling did not help as well.
Any overlays are disabled by the way, still no fix.

If you haven't yet seen it, this might be helpful. If nothing else, it's an official way to contact CDPR Support in case nothing works.
Got the same exact issue, no matter what, the game crashes when I go to leave the bar, im running a:
- Intel Xeon X5690 (6 Core, 12 Thread 3.46Ghz)
- 48GB DDR3
- Galax Geforce GTX 1070 8GB
The only apparent option to this problem is a patch that can fix it since we have this problem a lot, hopefully they will hurry to solve it

Yeah I'm getting frequent crashes as well. Most notably during starting up the game and loading the game. I couldn't really take my time on the character creator due to that :/

yeah i just found an old tred how to start a game in non avx mode (its with the parameter -sse2)and it does not help
I have sent everything compiled about the error to CDPR just so that they are up to date and be able to find a solution

Game crashes roughly every 30 minutes to an hour of gameplay. And now I'm stuck on "The Hiest" mission. Jackie disappears as soon as he leaves your view so now it won't let me continue past finding the relic.
I gotta say, I'm disappointed at the state the game is in... considering we were told the whole reason for the delays was to polish these things out.
Like npc's floating and talking over Dialog is one thing... But game breaking glitches shouldn't exist if the condition was as good as CDPR claimed it to be a month ago.
