I still couldn't play a single second, even after 1.05. Did a complete reinstall today.

same. 2. seconds after pressing the play button it crashes

I have been crashing continuously every 5-10 minutes since December 10th and I can't continue in the game! and it is the unique game i have playing with this problem.
I have tried again to reinstall completely windows10 and the game, disable XMP from bios and reactivate, remove all program for overclock ( now the overclock starts automatically by itself since it was born in the factory like this and plus have GPU Boost 3.0 created from Nvidia and i cant disable them).

Game crashes for me too. From time to time since 1.0 Version. Its annoying as hell.

3600XT
RTX 2080 (newest driver)
32GB DDR4 3200 Mhz CL14
1TB NVME

Mine was ok until Hotfix 1.05. Now randomly crashes just walking around and if caught by a security camera. I have gone back to 1.04, a shame as the darker reflections worked well.

Guys, if you have older config/videocard do not update the nvidia driver. If you have GTX 1060 or any similar by nature and you don't care about RTX there is no reason to update if you can't gain anything new for your experience. 460.x drivers were made because of the newest cards to make them stable because they need some time to adapt like the other cards needed in the past. I have almost one year old driver and mostly i can play the game without crashes so far (this can still change of course, need time for more testing). New driver is a mess, it has a lot of parts what needs to be fixed, which is only bad for RTX-card owners, because they barely have alternates to switch between them, and once they solve something, other things start to make them confused.
Also: many things can make a game to crash. Best examples are the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series. I mean sometimes you just have to check if one of the files is not denied by system, or tasks need admin priviliges, or game has missing files, or computer needs more virtual memory - i reccomend to set it to 4096 Mb minimum, Far Cry 5 used to crash without adjusting it properly).
Some of you mentioned AVX. I had a problem with this in the past and needed a fix for exe file but 1.5 seems to not show these issues for me, although i haven't started a new game, only loaded save file from 1.4. As far as i now mirrors can break game specialy with reflections turned on, but it barely has anything to do with AVX, DirectX 12 is a bugbear itself and unless you are a developer you may can't make it work by yourself.

So, on my side, 1.05 did improve overall stability, even if it still crashes like crazy.

Still on windows 7 with the proper version and patches.

Remains to be fixed :
- borderless fullscreen not working for different resolution than the desktop
- still need to stop the windowing service (net stop uxsms) to greatly improve the stability (I can play about 2 hours before gpu crash, and the driver can recover without a complete reboot)
- it breaks the vsync, kill the framerate and cause more stutter but it's playable (I'd rather play 2 hours than 10 min)
- random gpu crash everywhere even with fresh install of latest nvidia drivers after a proper DDU (and ofc I deactivated every overlays)
-(achievement not unlocking ...)

I have about 600 games on steam, and noone of those crashes like that (cause the driver to hang and recover...)

Waiting for the next patch, January probably...

I have tried to play at 1080p (low-medium-high-ultra) and still crash, same for 1440p (low-medium-high-ultra).
I dont know how can peoples with spec equal or inferior can play this game

just learnt that i can downpatch the game, redownloading, then going back to 1.03, will report what happened (if i dont crash anymore)

I suppose it's a bit different. This thread is about "App can't be launched". Not crashes while gameplay.

There seems to have been an update today??

However, I still crash as soon as I press play from the launcher with the following error:

What version of Windows 10 are you running? If its LTSB or an UN-updated Enterprise, lets just say CDPR was a little to liberal with their support of "Windows 10" since the game actually requires the "creator" update for Windows. They need to patch the startup to fix it. I would really like them to fix it.

I literally can't play more than 15 minutes without a compete freeze of my system
On previous update and 1.0.5
Latest drivers, no mods, absolute lowest resolution, validated files, fresh saves
Have a Ryzen and a 5700XT with 32GB RAM
And to top it all off Steam refuses to refund me since I spent more than 2 hours just getting this PoS game to work

Corrupted Save Game

So I was a couple of missions into the main story (street kid origin) and I had an option to continue the mission or wait, I chose the "wait" option and did some side missions. I left my partner on a bridge or overpass maybe. Once I had upgraded a bit, I picked the mission up, but this time my partner was outside of the hideout instead of back at the meet point to start the mission. We went in, I goofed and accidentally attacked them :ROFLMAO:. Of course my character was annihilated and when I reloaded from last checkpoint, CRASH!

Each time I tried to load that save, CRASH!

Started a new game and it's fine.

I'm not sure if departing from the main story the way did bugged it or maybe it was combination of the mission from the story and a side mission or some other activity while I was roaming.

I'm sending the crash report each time.

So, fixed an issue, and fell into an even worse one.

But, this is a fix. If you're game crashes on attempting to load ANY saved game, and/or even starting a new character, your OS build is too new. Mine was full up to date Win10. I had to refresh back to 1909 build, and have applied 0 patches. It ran for...35 minutes. Crashed. Now doesn't make it past CD Projekt Red logo. But I figured out one thing at least.

My god seems i fixed the issue, first of all need to Delete NVIDIA drivers and Geforce Experience, using DDU , next before your Windows found new drivers, change your cable of your Display or plug old cable to another HDMI/ DP port in your Graphic Card, next install new drivers without Geforce Experience, if doesn't load automatically you can use Driver Booster to install the graphic driver, finally install Cyberpunk 2077. Crashes should be fixed!

Unless you have some other Hardware/Driver problem

I have been running the GOG version all the way through to 1.04, running great on my 5800X + RTX 3090 on the latest Windows 10 Version (20H2). Update 1.05 completely borked my game and after spending hours trying to debug the issue I have had to revert to 1.04 to get rid of crashes (within 5-10 minutes) and failing to load saves at all... I am very disappointed as I was looking forward to the HDR changes (playing 4K HDR). I really hope 1.06 or whatever they call the next patch is better...

Same here, still crashes

One of my friends solved updating GPU firmware/BIOS, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

Can't find the troubleshooting tab to disable hardware acceleration (many GPU do not have this option, is what I found)

Latest Win10 20H2
Latest Nvidia Drivers from a few days ago
RTX 2070 (no overclock of sorts)
i5 6600K

UNSURPRISINGLY, with my 2nd boot on Windows7 the game was working, just to crash badly and restart the pc causing various automatic windows fix to the hard drives, so I'm not gonna compromise stability just to play 10 minutes and crash.

1.05 didn't solve the problem for me.

Still unable to start the game, played 2 hours under windows 7 with 10 crashes.

UNPLAYABLE.

Didn't work for me. We are in the reign of total randomness.

Hello everyone! I finally stabilized the game after the 1.05 patch kept crashing my system!!

I'll leave my recipe around here hoping it can help some of you guys end the desperation this matter has created on our simple lives. So, here it goes, as my story recalls:

Game was crashing after 1 or 2 minutes of entering into the game. It used to let me play even after loading any save, but after two minutes, BAM! "flatlined" and crashed to desktop.

1. What I did was download from NVIDIA the PREVIOUS driver, to see if the newer one was maybe part of the problem. Installed it with a "clean" instalation of all the components.
2. Tested it. Didn't work. Then I redownloaded the newest driver and installed with clean installation. Again with all the coponents, even with GeForce Experience.
3. After reading many posts of solutions people came up with when 1.04 was around, I decided to charge with all the cavalry to the problem.
3.1. Disabled every overclock made with MSI Afterburner. In my case it was only a temperature allowance of 115% for the GPU. Set the MSI Afterburner to NOT start with Windows the nex time I restarted the PC.
Restarted the computer for this changes to take effect.
3.2. Disabled Antivirus protection-check for the Cyberpunk 2077 directory.
3.3. Closed GeForce Experience, and also previously I had canceled the In-Game Overlay of this application.
3.4. Ran the game as administrator AND directly from the Cyberpunk2077/bin/54/Cyberpunk2077.exe
3.5. Once into the game, I disabled RayTracing completely (don't worry, the game still shows amazing reflection on objects without it, and we will be able to use it in a month or two when the big patches of january and february arrive, if those are somehow better).
4. That's it! The game finally ran stable for me. Hope it helps some of you guys out there!

Well, i am afraid i found your problem...

"CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T (6 processors) "

This thing is just too old. I tried to get the game running on an X6 1090T myself, but after some research, i came to the conclusion that it will most likely never happen.
It is missing some important instruction sets, not just AVX, so there is no community fix for it.
Even the much faster successor AMD FX-8370 is barely "strong" enough to run the game on 30 FPS... :-/

Well not true.. other GPU heavy game titles, I do run with 60 FPS or even higher under high settings.. Lets see if the Hotfix 1.05, will resolve the issue.. or a community out there will make a fix for these decade old-processors. There are a ton of users out there still using AMD Phenom- and FX-series.

Even after the last update I still cant launch the game at all. I press "play" and still it says instant flatline & to send a report... Very frustrated this STILL isnt fixed.

Mine almost crashes while it's loading the save and, is still crashing at the V and Johnny bit. I somehow got past the bit with the guy getting rammed into the mirror, by skipping the dialogue, but no matter what I do in this new scene, it crashes. I was having no crashes until hotfix 1.04 and 1.05...
