Thank you!
I think that is my problem, for now 30 mins no crash
(i have deleted only the file inside C:\Users\%userprofile%\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077\cache).
I think the problem is when we change the settings, UserSettings.json save that current settings but inside to the folder cache remain on previous settings, so the game cause gpu crash.

Also going to report that using this method I can get 1.05 to not crash on me. At least, it had not yet. I wasn't even able to open a save half the time before this. CDPR if you are reading this, please focus on this. Again I have a 5800X + 3090 and was stable until 1.05....

Game always crashes shortly after combat with Royce begins (or even when trying to sneak past him).

Intel i9-9880H, 64G RAM, Radeon Pro 5500M.

Patch 1.05 didn't fix the issue.

So, I've been able to fix my issues by installing the unofficial bootcamp amd drivers from bootcampdrivers.com (using the december 2020 red edition). Since then apart minor glitches (e.g.: motorcycle naked T-posing) the game runs well.

Same. I've played 8 hours and it's crashed (both with and without flatline error message) maybe 20-25 times. I'm now at the "Escape All Foods" stage of the Pickup mission, and it crashes in the same room everytime, so I literally can't proceed with play now. Hugely disappointing.

I'm still crashing here. The room with the mechs. As soon as I walk in the room, the game crashes/flatlines. Have 1.05. Ryzen 5600, 16G RAM, Radeon 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+

I've been able to play just fine until patch 1.05. I keep crashing, and I honestly don't know what to do about it.
Any tips or tricks to get it to work are much appreciated. If someone can dumb down what's going on when it crashes for me, that would cool too, but I honestly don't expect anyone to do that. Thanks for looking at this post if anything.

Crashes on startup. Haven't got to play the yet. Had the game since 1.04 and was hoping 1.05 fixed the issue but it did not.

RX 580 4gb
16gb ddr4 memory

Hi, yes, I had GPU error. Only way to fix it was turned off PBO on CPU (technically it is boosting technology not typical overclocking, so I didnt try it earlier). I have also lowered memory freq by a bit, but maybe it doesnt have an effect.
I am able to overclock GPU without problems, so ironically PBO on CPU crashed game with GPU error. Funny, really.

Ok, this worked very well for me.

My Rig
Ryzen 7 3700X - default freq
Asus RTX 2060 - default freq
32 GB RAM DDR4
SSD
WIN 10 20H2, fully patched

From patch 1.05, game was unplayable: every 1/2 mins in game, I was out on my desktop, with the same GPU error of all of you.

I made a clean install of WIN10, reinstall the whole game, clean the C++ redistributable, fixed the AMD SMT with the new hexedit code, and so on.

Nothing changes.

But when I erase that AppData folder, BAM, I was in, with a stable game.

So I made another test: I close the game, waiting the appdata folders appears with the new config files and restart the game from Steam.
1 min ingame and I had a crash.

Erase the folder, relaunch the game, and 45 mins without a crash.

I know, it's annoying, but if this "trick" continue to work, I'll continue to use it until a patch that can fix all of this things.

I hope it will help you guys :)

if this works then create a batch file to delete the file before running the .exe and then start the game from that

Configure or Turn Off DEP (Data Execution Prevention) in Windows

Currently, I'm unable to play for more than a few minutes before crashing. I can't even make it past the prologue. I started monitoring my GPU and CPU usage. I always get this spike in the GPU when I crash. anyone know what it might be or what is causing it ?

My friend, I've been playing on GTX1080 since game came out, and had no crashes! Ever!

Your GPU is not a problem.
Your GPU Drivers are not a problem.
Your Windows IS a problem.

Apparently CP does not install everything it needs to run on any system.
My system is NOT clean, lots of shit installed, AutoCAD, VisualStudio, Resolve, ARK, RogueCompany...
Game runs, no problem. Except occasional (sometimes hilarious) inGame bugs, but no crashes.
I am sure that one of those programs, or games, installed something that CP needs.
My friend could not start game on his PC, installed NFS Heat and Horizon Zero Dawn, and now game works.
I still can't find what it actually is that CP is missing.

Windows 7 here. My game crashed constantly from the begining. I was unable to play, but finally found a solution that works for me. The main problem was the mirrors and first "meeting" with SIlverhand in V apartment, but also had a lot of random CDT all the time.

In my case this method worked:
1. Turn on vsync.
2. Limit vsync frame to 14.
3. Turn on maximum frame rate.
4. Limit maximum frame rate to 14.

I know that in this settings is unable to play normaly, but this worked for problematic "cutscenes". After that I changed the limits to 60 fps and so far 0 CDT after playing about 3 hours. Hope this help someone.

And then it just works. I spent almost the entire day yesterday trying to get this to work. Installed the vcredist AIO which made no difference as they were already installed by other games. Installed the game on my other PC Intel 6700k with a Nvidia 1070. Installed the game, updated the driver from Nvidia website 460.89, I had been using 460.79 and 460.97 from Guru3d on my AMD 3900x 2070 Super PC, 79 worked ish and 97 crashed a lot. Synced the game on GOG and it played ultra settings 1920x1200 res perfectly, no DLSS or RT obviously, I was gobsmacked. Saved the game and synced to my other PC. Updated the 2070 to the same drivers, disabled DLSS and raytracing and the game hasn't crashed in 6 hours game play. Haven't a F'in clue as that's all I did. Running 1.05 flawless.

For whatever reason, whenever I get within a few blocks of the Arasaka Tower my game crashes. I've done a fresh install and even took all my settings down to low (typically run everything on high) and still haven't had any luck. It's the only bug I've encountered but it's unfortunately a pretty significant one since I can't actually progress the story at all.

Yeah, you shouldn't get near Arasaka tower, V does NOT like them. She senses shit is about to rain on her head.

Verify game files.

The game keeps crashing at the exact same point every time, during the mission "The Ride", after i get in the car with Dex, and he explains the mission, i have to choose which part of the mission i want to hear first, the Maelstrom or Evelyn. After i choose, it crashes in ~5 seconds, almost always at the same time, but not exactly...

Interestingly, this happens only on my 2nd playthrough...No issues at all on my 1st. Tried everything i read on some forums, no luck...
Dont really understand why this 2nd playthrough is so different from the first, but i cant continue and i cant fix this, or so it seems...

Thanks for the advice, I did as you instructed and it does seem more stable now. That said, it is still crashing, it is just not every 5 mins. Seconding what another poster said, it seems to be something to do with being in a mission, albeit not every mission just occasional.

i see, if i can help further, i have a post a few pages back https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?threads/cyberpunk-2077-pc-crash-issues.11040656/post-12456974
