I have this same crashing issue when I go to sit down on the corpo intro. Not sure if it is some conflict they need to patch with the old CPU, but I also am on an old LGA 1366 chipset with a Xeon x5680 CPU, 24gb DDR3 RAM. I doubt it is my GPU since it is a GTX 2060 with brand new drivers and Windows 10. Bummer because this PC runs every other game splendidly. I really hope they address this quickly because the game looks and runs fantastic otherwise.

Same Here, Xeon X5690 + GTX2060, 12Gb ram , CPU and GPU@80% into the bar with ultra Ray Tracing. Crashes when I go out.

My old X5690 would kick that i5 3570k's ass over and over again in any way shape or form, the issue isnt the performance of our machines, its the lackluster bug fixing and code mess that this game is on day 1. You know, after 7 years and countless delays I'd expect the game to at least work well enough to play with some bugs, not be literally crashfest 2020 edition

Same Here, X5690 Hexacore with hyperthreading is loaded less than 80% with everything at maximum, so don't talk to us about minimum specs. Every other blockbuster with raytracing enables works fine.

Regarding crashes during character creation, I noticed that it usually happens as soon as you go to nails, breasts etc. when the camera zooms out a bit.

I don't think it's caused by the character creation (zone : nails, breasts or others)

I did a refund request - good luck guys. It can take months to fix that avx problem. Ubisoft had the same problem with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Maybe try again in 6 months.

Buy a new CPU or feel the pain. ^,^

Crash reports
report.txt - Pastebin.com
stacktrace.txt - Pastebin.com

The game crashes as it launches, and I have to manually terminate the exe.

Tried updating drivers, rollbacking drivers, disabling all overlays I could think of (steam, nvidia, discord), reinstalling VC++ redis, running steam as admin, running without the CDPR launcher, verifying steam files.... Think I have tried absolutely everything with no luck. Is there anything I've not done? Any ideas?

Awful launch. Honestly releasing it at 12AM GMT was a terrible idea as they'd have very little people on hand to support it properly. They should have just postponed it to 6PM GMT the next day or something.

So we can conclude, XEON are not supported yet, and many gamers play with them as they are powerfull cheap upgrades to old PC, that can run any modern game in ultra...

I'm getting this error when exiting the starting location on the street kid path. have tried all of the trouble shooting steps listed in this thread and several others online. still getting the error. and only when trying to exit the door.
I've been seeing online where they say it is an eror related to avx instructions that the CPU needs to be compatible with.
My cpu is incompatible it seems. Although I dont get how the game can run but only crash when taking a specific action in game. Due to CPU incompatibility. I would think the game would just flat out nt run.

Turned off overlays, reinstalled game, verified game files, wiped and reinstalled graphic drivers. Still crashes as soon as I click "Play".

Ok, so here is how I got about four hours of playtime with minor crashes, but now I am stuck at the end of the BD Scene:
- play as nomad
- save in the trailer
- play the tutourial
- game crashes in the car
- load the old safe and then load the new one like it has been described here before
- play along
- repeat whenever the game crashes (It only does that whilst changing some scenes)

Problem right now is, that you can't quicksave after the interactrive cutscene in the BD Scenario...
Very sad...
I am running two X5690 and CPU usage in the Taskmanager never exceeded ~60% so more than enough power on the CPU part (on all cores I must add, they nailed that apparently).
My GPU is crap, I admit that. (970) But I do not see the point in throwing out capable hardware that is not used to its full potential because of some stringy code!
I suspect we all need to wait for this issue to be fixe. Please contact the official support and explain them the issue, maybe if enough of us do so they will see this as a bigger problem and fix this mess...

Just my two cents for folks who would like to get some playtime even if it's really annoying...
You can still do all the nice sidequests though!
Rest in AVX (-_-).png

It works on 2/3 of my computers.
The computer is doesn't work on IS below the minimum requirements, however I cannot get the game to open at all. Had no problems in other games, even if they run bad they still run.

Tried all the solutions and it still won't open.

Wow...what a tease. After Downloading most the day I got to play for an hour last night. Worked Great! Woke up today and now I'm getting the Crashed/Send report. Can't get it going again. Sent reports...opened a ticket...checked for updates and repair. Like 1 in 10 tries I get a Sync with cloud error THEN it crashed. Just thought it weird I was playing it fine last night and now...nada.

Well, I could "jump" the issue with free Geforce Now. The problem is the queue in a certain hours but, at least, is a temporary solution.

I don't know how they implement avx routines but they have to think about a other way to get the same results and that will cost work and a lot performance. Assassins creed odyssey fucks your CPU without AVX support.

If you have a friend who has also the game, send them the save game and let them play the part where it crashes. That works for me but its shit.

So long ... bye
