Cyberpunk 2077 PC Crash Issues

I have the exact same problem with a similar setup. Win 7 Ultimate x64, GTX 970 4GB, installed on SSD, latest drivers for GPU, i5 6600K, playing on steam. Game works fine until I actually start it after character creation. Within seconds of seeing V in front of the mirror and getting the call from Jacky or sometimes even before I see him while the screen is still black it crashes to desktop without any error message. Deleting the UserSettings.json unfortunately didn't fix it (and didn't change anything at all unlike for the poster before me).

I think I might found a solution. Here what I did.

- Window Mode Borderless
- Slow mode HDD
- use HDMI for display

- 457.30 Nvidia driver

How do you set those in the game settings? And not everyone can use an HDMI display. Why an older driver?

Does anyone else get the cyberpunk has flatlined crash on the initial CDPR logo on startup?

I can't get any further than this and I have tried all the "fixes".

Slow HDD mode is in-game setting. Maybe try download my UserSetting.json and place it in yours

I played as Nomade, you have use SDE to Sequenz Rescue "Die Rettungsaktion". Now you can turn and play normal. What the hell, AVX only usess at Beginning.

OK. I am in!

It got past the launcher, into the main menu. Closed it straight away and came back to post this.

Verify the files here - https://support.cdprojektred.com/en/cyberpunk/pc/sp-technical/issue/1562/verify-integrity-of-game-cache-1. When I did this through Steam, it saw that the 2nd of the two files weren't complete (I guess?) and redownloaded them.

It's probably worth doing this alongside all the other steps, but so far so good. Going to launch it again and will report back later.

Did this - didn't work for me - have requested my refund from steam now as its logged all my attempts as gamneplay!

I chose Nomad and it crashes in same place consistently right after the prolog cinematic upon entering the city.

The game ran smoothly up to the point it crashed so it does not seem to be related to performance issues.

I tried the following to fix it:
* Run launcher as admin (and even run game directly as admin)
* Disabled Steam overlay (even Discord overlay whenever I had Discord running)
* Set all GFX options to lowest setting possible
* Windows 10 shows nothing else I can apply in Windows Update
* GFX driver is current release
* Disabled 2nd monitor so OS only sees a single monitor
* Disabled anti-virus and firewall
* Herobrine removed from system
* Steam not installed to default folder (so not related to "Program Files" enhanced security issues)
* Verified integrity of files in Steam (there was no issue and no need to download anything extra)
* Tried loading prior auto-saves.
* Coreinfo (by sysinternals) shows that my CPU does NOT support AVX (does not have asterisk by feature)

OS: Windows 10 Pro, build 1909 (all patches applied....2020/202H feature update not presented as an option to install yet)
CPU: Intel Core i7 960 @ 3.20 GHz
GPU: NVidia GeForce GTX 1060, 6GB (driver version 460.79 which is current)
RAM: 12 GB
Monitors: Two Samsung monitors in 2048 x 1152
Antivirus: Comodo Internet Security 12.2.2.7062 (current and updated)

Hey guys, I found workaround
It might be too much, but I managed to launch game by that way.
I downloaded latest windows from here:

Download Windows 10

And installed it on different disk. Cyberpunk succesfully launched there.

This is what I`m suspecting, quicksave without the slow hdd mode for some reason crashes the whole system, its like the game is trying to acces parts of the drive windows is using as well. I`m not sure, if windows install is absolutely neccesery, but puting the game on a different drive could do the job.

It crashed 4 times already. Just after the start. First just before the first sequence, then just after a 2 minutes of talk with Pepe. Looks like a very good premiere indeed.

And my friend who has similar specs, but only 2060 Super instead of ordinary one and he can play it normally.

Save game workaround works for me (Nomad)!
Just played for 7 hours, performance is fine the only problem has been the crashes listed below.
Once I did the work around the game was stable and didn't crash for nearly 7 hours of gameplay.
I am not using Intel SDE as others have suggested, only the save game workaround.

CPU: i7 930 (no AVX)
GPU: Nvidia GTX1660
RAM: 16GB
Windows 10

On first play through it crashes to desktop as below without fail!
As mentioned, the save game workaround has worked for me!

• Corpo - Crash when sitting in chair in office
• Nomad - Crash after reaching NC (Cutscene video)
• Street Kid - Crash when leaving bar.

As the game is quite playable after the workaround, I'm hoping CDPR will patch this?

Nope, my games are always on a diff drive than my Windows system files. Get the same crash at the same point in the tutorial. It is definitely a memory\file access error.

If your CPU do not have AVX instructions (Old Xeons, I7 9xx....), you're f****ed.

Open a ticket, the more we are, the quicker they find a solution.

You can lauch at least, so it's another case. I have the same as post author, crash from launcher without even start screen.

I have 3 SSd, c, d and e. Windows are on c, Cyberpunkers on d. Games crash lack of AVX.
Use SDE.exe -ivb -- commandline and skip Tutorial with lagg as hell.
