Cyberpunk 2077 PC Crash Issues

+
I have a X5690 @ 3.47GHz (12 CPUs); 65536MB RAM; Radeon RX 580 8GB Series (all according to the system report)... beautiful game - over 60fps on ultra!... but the same crash issues on streatkid that everyone else is having. Really a shame, loving the little of it so far! Here's hoping for a patch real soon.....

Crashing at fixed points ingames are almmost 100% from this problem. Random crashing and game not launching are 100% not.

This. Anyways CDPR has addressed this and is working on the AVX issue. They'll fix it or suffer massive returns and or angry pedestrians not being able to refund cause of steams policy and people will get pissed. So AVX being taken out is a must.

Thank you! I haven't seen a single person that says "I have an AVX capable CPU, but I am still experiencing crashing like crazy" actually say that they are experiencing the specific set point crashes that happen at the exact same spots no matter what on each life path scenario. The vast amount of people here are experiencing very specific crashing and all have non-AVX compatible CPUs. The other crashes I assume are due to non updated graphics drivers, etc.

Keep submitting crash requests through CDP's
High end INTEL i7 gen 9xx and Xeon processors of the same ERA (like X5690) , that are still able to run most games of today. Some High end AMD from same period but rarer as AMD was really below at this time.
Overclocked by 50% to 4.5 on air, mine performs like a 7700k or Ryzen ZEN 1

My 5690X runs like a god for its age, bordering 10 years old and still kicking ass, X58 really is an amazing budget performance platform, if only CDPR would have recognized that sooner

I tried to start the game (Steam version), immediately an error at launch.

i7 4770k, 16Gb, GTX 1070, game on SSD
Windows 10 LTSB 1607 + latest updates and latest NVIDIA driver.

I assume that the matter is in the operating system, but LTSB 1607 itself is supported by Microsoft until 2021. There were no problems with other games after 3 years of use.

Does anyone have a positive experience of running the game on LTSB or LTSC?

I've been waiting for this game for 7 years. A large segment of players like me has been waiting for this for 7 years. I live in Turkey, and unfortunately he is not here to take up the game. With the money I saved, I bought Cyberpunk from pre-order with great excitement. I waited like everyone else I have access to Turkey and 10 the night of December 3, opened the game with time. But I had an issue with AVX support that I haven't experienced in any game before. While all my friends are playing the game, I cannot play. Because my game is crashing. Please solve this problem.

It seems to be related to how the game tries to handle the commands that it sends to our CPUs rather then just an issue of strictly lack of supporting the AVX
Well, you're sorta right. If they were defensively programming then what SHOULD happen is that the call would throw an exception and the program would handle that exception gracefully by giving the user an error message, something like "Sorry, but an API call to the processor threw an exception" (obviously in a more articulate\eloquent manner). Even better would be if it checked on boot if you have AVX capabilities and not let a user get that far into the game before erroring\crashing to desktop.
However it seems they went the "We told them min requirements even though we did not explicitly state you ABSOLUTELY need an AVX capable processor, so we aren't going to test\handle that error at all." route.
At best this is a HUGE oversight by the dev team, at worst the AVX requirement was buried intentionally to boost sales by getting people who don't have the gear to mistakenly purchase the game.

I think the best case scenario is what the dev team did and the worst case is how their business units handled it.

Sorta how most companies hide arbitration garbage in their TOS.

my steam has only downloaded 60.2 GB is that happening to anyone else

I've also verified the integrity of the game files and redownloaded it

I have herd if you are using an older CPU 's, apparently no support for CPUs without AVX. It'll crash at a certain point in each class: I am using a 2010 Mac Pro Desktop:
Dual Intel Xeons X5680's 3.33Ghz 6 core, 12 Threads (Combined 12 Cores 24 Threads)
40 GB 1333Mhz Ram
Running off a 500GB SSD NVME
AMD RX 5700XT

Pls stop discussion about AVX, because it's completely deferent cases, don't mix up crash cases reasons
Mostly of the people here write about "File: e:\r6.patch0hotfix2\dev\src\common\gpuapi\src\dx12\gpuapidx12error.cpp(40)"
And it's software issues not hardware. A lot of people started complains about AVX only because CDP-RED support answers right away to the users who got very old processors. Common guys, who blames 100% AVX issue - not even serious. The game itself $60 cost more then ~ 1st get i7. I also have old processor from 2013 (4th gen i5) i5-4570, but it's 100% expectable for system requirements.
I'm sure it's something related to software, Windows/builds/updates/directx 12
I tried everything, I really want to make it work somehow but don't want to reinstall windows

My specs is
windows 10 LTSB version 1607. OS build 14393.4104 + 460.79 (clean installation, all overlays off, etc)
i5-4570, 16gb, 1TB samsung evo ssd 860, GTX 1070ti
(this update can't be installed)
The latest supported Visual C++ downloads (installed/repaired)
