Man... I totally regret pre-ordering this game a year ago... I mean, CD Projekt Red knocked it out of the park with Witcher 3, now they can't even release a game without it crashing 5 min in.... mine crashes to desktop when attempting to sit in the chair during the boardroom thing for the Corpo Rat mission. Literally like 5 min in. Crash with an unhandled exception while the game apparently attempts to access forbidden memory sectors. I am seriously disappointed right now. Delayed a year to "perfect" it, and it barely executes and immediately crashes.
Before you ask, I turned OFF all RTX stuff (running a 2070 Super), put all settings on LOW, turned off ALL GoG overlays. I've even tried executing the game without GoG client running. Always, ALWAYS, CTDs on the chair sit animation.
Error reason: Unhandled exception
Expression: EXCEPTION_ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION (0xC000001D)
Message: The thread tried to execute an invalid instruction.

I have tried all troubleshooting including clean wipe of drivers and reinstall, and even re-installed the game.
I have been sitting here for 5 hours.
Still crashing at end of tutorials every time.
GTX 1080, Windows 10, 32gb RAM, Xeon CPU 3.47GHz 3852 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processors.
Same issue. Over and over and over and over again.
It took me 14-15 crashes to get through one prologue portion alone.
WHAT. THE. HELL? We're not talking floating cigarettes here... just straight up broken game that shouldn't be purchasable at ALL.
My game will not even launch. Yall should feel so lucky to even see the character creation screen.
I hit play in the REDLAUNCHER and a few seconds later "WOAH! Cyberpunk 2077 has FLATLINED!"
Yes I have updated drivers and know my computer can run this.
This sucks
So I see a variety of systems here. I have the game installed on a plain sata drive, not an ssd. Anyone else have that setup? I also am driving dual displays/monitors. The rest of my system is robust enough for the game (i7 970, rtx 2070 10/12 gig version, 48 gigs of ram, plenty of capacity)

So, something that happens when games are in development for a long time, they have older components of direct x. Usually they include a dx installer in the games assets, and you can then find that version online and install it to the system. However, I don't see an installer for the dx components/libs that this game uses. But seeing the gamedir/bin/x64/d3d12on7 tells me they do use specific libs in the game. Maybe if we can find the installer for that redist of dx12, we can get the system using those and get past this. Or if they release a vulkan support update.
Crashes CONSTANTLTY on steam with:
3090 RTX EVGA FTW3
3950X AMD Ryzen
128 GB of RAM
M2 SSD
What the hell is this? Not exactly unexpected specs here...

And I do mean constantly. I can't get through anything in the prologue without endless crashing. I can't even finish the VR tutorial because it crashes endlessly. Ridiculously unplayable.

I installed it in a different drive than I installed GOG galaxy, but mines installed on a HDD. So unless it has an issue with being separate from the main drive?
