I have a Ryzen 5800x and it crashes. so it's not just an AVX problem i think

Will it fix only the first AVX related crash in the game, or it will work during the full game?

try clearing your cache and rechecking your file integrity with whatever launcher you installed the game with

i check on start of game, and after it works. i hope it work during all game.

The game is trying to use a feature you don’t have: AVX.



At the beginning playing corpo when you sit it crashes. A possible temporal solution while they fix this issue is to remove this part of code:



Edit Cyberpunk2077.exe with a hexadecimal editor and search for

554881ECA00000000F2970E8

Change the first byte to C3 (return from the function):

C34881ECA00000000F2970E8



Please note this fix is extremely simplistic and naïve. Moreover, it could crash the game later. This change seems to fix this crash and you can continue playing the game. I have only tested a few minutes more.



FAQ: Why are they using AVX?

They are not doing it on purpose, it is probably the default configuration of the compiler.

I'm getting AVX calling related problems here, too. Ran CP2077 with Intel's AVX emulator and I could get through the trouble spot (Corpo prologue, sitting on Jenkins' chair), but obviously since it's emulating the game, it becomes borderline unplayable at 5 FPS.
Running on my "little CPU that could", the Pentium G4560. Performance otherwise was pretty much as expected; 40-50 FPS with a mix of Med-Low settings on my undervolted RX 580 8GB!

did some digging in the mini dump file looks to me like its a debugging issue idk its been a loooonng time since I used visual studio.

I have already posted a solution which is ugly but at least working.
The game crashes whenever your character need to sit down in a vehicle or chair while there are a lot of surround dynamic changing objects around him and it triggers scripted dialog - my guess is during this process AVX instruction is called - so for now and to skip this crash point you can start Intel emulator .

Windows 10 x64 (Version 2004)

All subsequent launches from steam crash immediately after CDPR logo and now I can't get back into the game.

For what it's worth; I know this doesn't work for everyone but; my issues were resolved when I updated to today's nVidia Game Ready Driver drop.
