i had this problem until yesterday solved today. step 1 Winver on Windows run if the version is 16xx update Windows to the latest build available. step 2 update Nvidia driver. step 3 disable Nvidia overlay and steam overlay. step 4 install the latest visual c ++ and update direct x drivers. step 5 look for the cyberpunk executable and put the flash run as administrator in its folder. If you have done all these steps at startup it should no longer crash. It only fixes the GPU error. For a lost day of play cdprojekt has to compensate me. I'm kidding.

GPU error too but all the steps did nothing for me lmao, trying to not k*** myself actually XD (joke)

For everyone still having the Crash on hitting Play issue AND if they are on a LTSB Version of Windows.
It seems that this is the issue.

Check my reply here:

forums.cdprojektred.com

WINDOWS 10 LTSB NOT SUPPORTED. version 1607 NOT SUPPORTED (Game crashes on launch) !!! FIX UPDATED !!!

Why does switching to LTSC put it in S mode? Now I can't install anything that doesn't come from the store, even the store itself cuz LTSC doesn't COME WITH THE STORE! It also didn't let me keep any of my apps or settings because it said I was trying to install a version different than the one...

thanks but I'm on Win 10 Home 20H2 - so not the only reason for the crash on pressing play.

This is an AVX issue where older CPU's simply do not have, a fix at the moment to get past this is to use a hexadecimal editor to edit Cyberpunk2077.exe

search for 554881ECA00000000F2970E8 and change the first byte to C3 save and reload the game.

essentially change the 55 to C3 so it looks like this C34881ECA00000000F2970E8

I cannot confirm this works the entire way through but it gets me past the bar crash and past the crash after cops

i7-3770k, MSi 1070, ASUS P8Z77-V LE, 16gb ram, game on Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB

Have the flatline error, clean installed drivers and basically done everything possible besides the exe file modification, might give it a shot.

I'm running the offline install so no overlay problems should be interfering.

My game started crashing AFTER I installed the drivers... I figured I'd optimize the performance and ended up not being able to play at all...?

Playing on a 3080
i9-10900k

Message: Gpu Crash for unknown reasons! Callstack here is probably irrelevant. Check if Breadcrumbs or Aftermath logged anything useful.
File: e:\r6.patch0hotfix2\dev\src\common\gpuapi\src\dx12\gpuapidx12error.cpp

Known problem, but... I can run the game, create a character, but there is a loading screen after this. The loading bar goes to the middle and then "Cyberpunk 2077 has flatlined".

I've waited 1,5 year for this game, now have last days of holiday, want to relax, but CDPR is annoying me. :ROFLMAO: Guys, please... HELP!!!

You might get a result with AVX fix if you look around the thread

ugh this error isnt with AVX fix : "e:\r6.patch0hotfix2\dev\src\common\gpuapi\src\dx12\gpuapidx12error.cpp"
GPU APID DX12 error
not CPU, but GPU error

and my CPU have AVX, so the problem for this bug isnt caused by AVX

Tryed all 3 backstories now, can't get past a few min of play in any of them. Nomad at least got me to the first cutscene.

Hope we get the next patch soon and the issues get fixed in it, can't play at all like this.

Try my suggestion mate

Your suggestion is for people who were able to boot the game, which creates the folder containing the file you say to delete. My issue is that I can't boot the game, lol. Thanks anyways

I need help, I've done everything I've seen on the forums...
Completely install the graphics drives, reinstall, uninstall and
reinstall the game, I have also used the fix for old cpu...
But none of that works, someone could tell me what is wrong?

My game was crashing on startup (pc steam) . Fixed it by initialising the game using the exe file rather than through steam

I have this problem and I tried what not. Disabled apps, updated drivers, whatever I can think of, incl most fixes suggested here and there and still get the crash few seconds on the logo. It is ridiculous.
