First time game crashed. I restarted. Game was jittery. Quit it in taskbar where it showed very high power usage! Restarted my PC but it would wouldn't restart. Powered off and on. Still nothing on the monitor. I had to pull the power chord off the PSU and back on and then the PC would run properly. This happened twice again. Granted I'm using an i7 4770 which is just below minimum spec but the game runs fine but until crash. My PC crashed twice again where restart wouldn't work and I needed to pull out the chord! I think my Potato PC is not wholly responsible for this.

For the GPU error, my game crash during the character creation, with all graphics set to "low"
I can start playing just after the loading screen (after character creation), but in 10~15 secs CP77 crashed once again.

the error message is this : " e:\r6.patch0hotfix2\dev\src\common\gpuapi\src\dx12\gpuapidx12error.cpp(40) "
If we looking at the last file : GPU API DX12 ERROR
So I think thats a problem with dx12 and the game, I can't be sure about it evidently

they already answer yesterday to this question, stop harass them... and for AVX instructions you have a fix found by a player : https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/34

the exe disables all steam
if you run this exe it will show PLAY on the game for steam
and the timer isnt running, nor does cloud save work
and ive had about 19 people test this in steam forums, all starting a new game and new line, aka you get 1 achievement each 3 gangs to join,

all 19 got NO achievements for picking the new clan base
same with killing a nader or headshots

the exe bypasses steam
some are even saying to block it from your firewall

so my guess is you didnt apply the exe correctly
if you had you would notice that steam sees the game as not running when you are in play.
end of line and be warned

What are you talking about. I have a NON-AVX cpu and I crashed when leaving the bar as Street Kid but using the AVX fix I got about 4 hours of playtime during which I got 2 achievements. You just cut out the actual exe file and rename the AVX exe to "Cyberpunk2077" and run it through steam. Wonder how you "tested this with 19 other people". Stop spreading wrong information because you don't know how to rename files. "EnD oF LiNe bE WaRnEd". Jeez

I have the same issue in GOG Galaxy version. I just put HDMI instead of my DVI cable on my screen and it's now works "well".

I don't understand why, and it's really boring to play with 60Hz (my eyes are in fire...) but i can play now. I'm in the middle of Acte 1 actually.

I still experiencing crash, especially GPU crash sometimes, but if you save a lot it's not really a problem.

Waiting for a patch obviously to be again able to play in 120Hz without any crash...

Hope it works for every one of you guys. (works with HDMI PC Screen, and TV obviously...)

When are we getting a hotifx/patch for the AVX related bug . I'm already playing it with the AVX fix, but come on CDPR we have to fix the problem ourselves ? There's a bunch o people who want to play who can't and some random Saint fixed it not CDPR..... :/ Really not a great look.

Try it. I hope it helps
I got this error, like many others, only after overclocking through MSI Afterburner
download and reduce performance and check.
the first time it took off after it reached the peak for overclocking to the end and the game crashed with an error. then lowered it a little and after a while again. so lower Core clock and Memory clock

Answer from support for a patch release:

Hello,

I am afraid that we have no information to share on that matter.

Regards,
Ashka

We just need to be patient.. and use the inofficial fix meanwhile.

Dude I posted that here multiple times really preaching to the choir ... It's the fact that we shouldn't have to do this. Even the guy who figured the fix out said the same thing IT'S SAD WE HAVE TO DO THIS. Seriously it really is. CDPR we shouldn't have to use "mods" to make your game playable in any shape or form.... :/ Everyone know this to be true .

Yo guys,
I had the
EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005)
Message: The thread attempted to read inaccessible data at 0x2393BF5D6F0.
Error.
What helped for me was to update to the newest available windows version, so Win10 20H2.
After that I had no crashes.

Wish you luck guys

This is true and i am sure there will be a fix soon. Its just not like editing some bits of an exe file for the developers, this needs to be done in standardized ways how developing and releasing works in such companies. So just be patient, ok?

We can be glad there is a working in the wild that makes the game work until the official patch.

PSA to all people with this error:
You are using Windows 8 or 8.1, is that correct? If so then the reason is that you don't have DirectX 12, and you cannot install that on your OS. You will notice that in the error log a failed render load appears.

The only chance is upgrading to Win10 (which, BTW, still was free for me). This fixed the "issue" for me, but I see that this is quite an intrusive measure.

EDIT @CDPR: it would help a lot showing that Windows 8 will not work with CP2077, instead of just showing the "flatlined!" message. This might save some people a headache or two w.r.t. why the game does not launch. :)
