Can confirm in some cases studio drivers help, definitely try that if you can't pass some cinematic, I'm using that too but random crashes happen like I mentioned in my post.

Have you tried playing at 1024 x 768 low settings as well?

I tried low, by itself it didn't help. The thing that works for me is to cap the fps to 40 using whispermode then set everything to low/medium, this reduces the crashes.

What about the resolution? Have you tried 1024 x 768? Because that is the only one that will work without any crashing for me.

So while the GPU crashes were fixed by reinstalling Nvidia drivers I now get this one everytime the bus with guys who were tailing you opens (after "The Rescue"):

Error reason: Assert
Expression: <Unknown>
Message: Out of Memory! Failed to allocate 5592432 bytes with alignment 16 from pool 'PoolRenderBlobsBuffers' using 'DefaultAllocator'
File: e:\r6.patch0hotfix2\dev\src\common\redmemory\src\oomhandlerbreak.cpp(37)

Is that possibly an issue with my RAM?
If your ram/gpu memory is lower than the minimum specs that can be the issue but if they're not try uninstalling driver with DDU (before that download the latest driver package then disconnect from internet)

I haven't tried it but I don't think I'll play the game using that resolution. CDPR should fix their game engine and imo an alternative graphics api is desperately needed, directx 12 is a mess when developing and playing games.

Hey there,

Anyone has a problem where the game crashes at the "Double Life" main job just at the start of the second braindance sequence? Not only crashes, but outright reboots my PC. No overheating or any other system crashes I can tell, it just gives up. I have no idea if the problem is on my side.

My setup is
- GTX1080 GPU
- i9-9900 CPU
- 16 GB DDR4 RAM
- installed on an SSD

Yeah, I totally agree. A 3080 only able to play on low @ 1024 x 768? Jesus...

I thought I was desperate enough to play at that resolution but now that I have tried it, I'm not that enthusiastic about it anymore. I get to play but I don't think my eyes and stomach will be able to survive the experience. It's nauseating to say the least.

CDPR, why you gotta go make me choose between either not playing the game at all or suffering a brain hemorrhage while doing so? :(

Has anyone any idea when the next patch will be released? Latest patch 1.04 did not solve my crashing issues at all :(

I have tried everything on 1080p, gsync on and off, including a different GPU and PSU but no dice. Only things I have not done are reformatting my drive, reinstalling my OS and taking apart(while voiding my warranty) my 3080 to reapply thermal paste like some nutjobs are suggesting in other forums. I have tried so many combinations of possible fixes that my my crash reports have hit a grand total of 3gb along with 8 hours of "play time" that consisted of nothing but trying to get the game to run.

@Draemor77

Street Kid path :
Loaded the first savegame (in the bar), and, after, the last auto (before the game crash) front the car I must steal.
After the cinematic, the game become black a while (some long seconds) and I see a stairs less than a second, and the game crash...
The game not autosave after, but just before the crash, I can't passthrough this way.

Maybe with another path (corpo or nomad)

this bug cost me 2days of not being able to play the game, but the fix is (may work for only some people) move to a folder which have no dots in it's name.

yep, the game just can't read/open dotted folder. simple fix, if you are on steam, the process of moving the gamefile to another folder is a bit harder because you need to close everything like wallpaper engine, or you can move to a different drive.

specificly works for error where you can't open the game at all, and error log:

Error reason: Assert

Expression: commonFileLoaded

Message: Failed to load in-game config file from 'D:Game\Cyberpunk 2077\r6\config\settings\options.json'

File: e:\r6.patch0hotfix2\dev\src\common\redconfig\src\ingameconfigreader.cpp(449)

please spread this as i want to do nice things to the world :)

Honestly, the game is just a technical mess.

I am crashing every 30 minutes with "nvlddmkm has stopped responding" in the event log.
I tried underclocking my 3080, didn't really help much. Guess i have to go for mor agressive underclocks ala -100 -200 on the core and see if that helps.

I can run Warzone 24/7 without a single crash and it's very vulnerable to system instability.
The game is just fucked up and need months of polish, maybe then it will work at some point....

Was fiddling with my computer clocks (CPU,RAM etc.) for 2 days now and it still crashes with everything at complete stock

My driver is crashing(screen turns blank but still can hear sound in the background) as well and I have a 3080 too.

If you don't mind, try setting resolution to 1024 x 768 and graphic preset to low. I know that is a horrible "solution" but it is the only thing that has enabled me to play 2 hours straight without crashing where I would have crashed 10 seconds into the start of the game before.

You guys ought to either downgrade the gpu driver. settings ingame or disable DLSS. The 1.04 patch has messed up for me with crashes for every 30mins or so. Had to scope down the fault until it was DLSS that cause these mess (at least for me)

That's odd, but I can't see the same "Feature level limit" bar on my DX props at Win 10 1809. There is not any DX 12 notes at all.

Follow this link : Support GOG / AVX

BUG : For thoses are some crash after corpo(sitting)/nomad(after the night city cinematic/street kid(steal car)
For 1.04 version, change the bin/exe from the downloaded from the link.

The first test : Street Kid
Is done, I can passthrough after I steal a car, and wake up in the street.

The test for corpo / nomad is not done yet!
