Just the opposite, actually.

Wouldn't say "the opposite" (I mean, you *are* using guns aka shooting, action, explosions) but certainly not the first thing that comes to mind.

They'll have the deep story telling and moral ambiguity we expect. But it's also going to be an in-your-face action RPG. So yeah, lot's of shooting and splosions. Not a bad thing.

I think it is and I hope they make a game that allows multiple play styles.

I don't mind shooting and action stuff, but I agree, CP2077 should have options to play noncombat-oriented characters. I am jonesing to play a Corporate, but I think it's unlikely that this role will make the cut for the game.

But yeah, it should be possible to create straight-up mayhem in this game as well. Haha, don't ask for much, do we :p

The original PnP game emphasises lethality. Your armed-to-the-teeth cyborg can get one shotted by a 12 yr old sniper if you're not careful. So in many situations, talking your way out of conflict is better. I'm fairly certain there will be stealth as well. Andf since it's open world, I expect to be able to approach conflict zones from multiple angles.

I'm not sure what you're getting at. I think what he meant was that people typically associate cyberpunk with the environments, moral themes and decay of society etc. The more known works associated with cyberpunk don't really have an overabundance of explosions and stuff like in typical action.

“It’s more like a Tarantino approach,” Sebastian concludes.

Well, there goes some of my enthusiasm.

What's not to like about a Tarantino approach? I think that's fantastic, can't wait to see how it is actualized.

He said "the opposite". I said, "not the first think that comes to mind". What you described is a "not the first thing that comes to mind" situation. Meaning that the shooting and action are not the most important things but they're still there while "the opposite" implies that they're not needed at all and might as well not be included.

Well, thanks for posting that, slim. This is seriously awesome.

The inclusion of the stock ticker gets my hopes up about playing as a corporate, but time will tell. I love that Red would include this level of detail for a trailer, I can't even imagine what they've got going on right now. I also like the inclusion of painted shells- can I get neon pink skin? :D
