i mean 2015?!? by then there will probably be another deus ex and also the blade runner sequel will have come out by that time

oh no, hope they don't ruin blade runner 2. anyway, sorta on the topic, anyone got any "cyberpunk" films they wanna suggest people to watch? perhaps enough so we're all busy until 2015 lol.

only thing i didn't like was the music, i mean the title reveal "trailer" had such a good electronic sound and here it's a completly unfitting licensed track.. for the next time, back to non vocal electronic or blade runner esque jazz or even 80's rock please... something a little more "cyberpunk" you know

ETE has nothing to do with caseless ammunition. I just thought that all new 2020 weapons fire caseless ammunition. Ofc there are older weapons which doesn't use caseless ammo yet but those rifles are definately state of the art weapons.

Wheee! Our first nerd-up! IIRC, and without checking my copy of Chrome, ETE requires the rounds to be cased. Thus, those cops might have been firing cased rounds IN ORDER to take advantage of ETE. because that's a cool retcon.

Any idea on what the rifles were? Some CDPR invention? I thought maybe a shroud over a Militech Ronin or an Arasaka WAA Bullpup. Nice to see the bullpup configuration in use, eh? Possibly also a Militech Mk IV...

well there are not that many great cyberpunk movies
blade runner obviously
johnny mnemonic is cyberpunk but not a really good movie

if you stretch the definition of cyberpunk a little bit, then you have movies like the matrix, robocop, dredd 3d etc but i think they all have cyberpunk themes or take away some cyberpunk visuals but none of those are "truly" cyberpunk if you know what i mean

if you want to watch some good cyberpunk movies you better get into anime

oh yeah, can't beat akira or gits. it's true that there aren't many good cyberpunk live action films. guess we are a niche market.

About those rifles, I bet they are Militech hardware, since Militech arms the NCPD. Arasaka is their rivals in the arms race so they woudn´t accept that. That MK IV looks similar then in the corporation book. It might be modular gun like most modern guns are.

Oh indeed it needs to be cased to use EAE. Anyway gun might be Militech Mk IV but not sure.

Caseless is typical...unless the cops are using ElectroThermal Enhancement, which seriously jacks the power of the round up.

Electrothermal Enhancement cannot be used in a fully automatic or burst enabled weapon.... well it can, but the gun will blow in your face.

The only thing that bothers me is that I see a shell coming out from police rifle, shouldn't they be caseless?

Cased bullets look cooler, and caseless ammo is actually bulkier, heavier, and reduces ballistic evidence... its also much more expensive to produce. Brass flying out of the ejection port of a weapon always looks awesome, and I am glad they are going that route... the caseless thing never did make much sense to me.

NCPD uses far more Constitutional Arms weapons than Militech... and the NCPD uses lots of Arasaka equipment as well, such as the Nauseator, the Restraint Caster, and the Barret Arasaka Light 20, just off the top of my head.

Glad to see i'm not the only one... cyberpunk with that modern pop-rockish voice
was terrible combination in my opinion. I get they were aiming for lyrics, but music
itself just stands out too much and kills the cyberpunk feeling for me completely.
Otherwise awesome trailer and really looking forward to the game.

I am glad also on the cased ammo as they look more cool, but actually in 2020 they cost more then caseless ammo and are more unreliable in messy environment where dirt can enter the gun from the eject port. I am not 100% sure how caseless actually works, but I thought they would also be smaller thus giving more clip room when there is no need for the brass case.
