CYBERPUNK 2077: ULTIMATE EDITION ARRIVES ON DECEMBER 5TH!

+
So what exactly will the people be purchasing, if they already have the base game + expansion? Crickets?
I find it funny that customers are still being asked for money when I remember as clear as yesterday in what state this game released, and is still full of bugs and brain dead AI.
I have not forgotten and will never forgive that shady maneuver.
The only reason I have so many hours in this mediocre game, the only reason, is due to the modding community who have outclassed and outshined the base game 10 times over.
I know that no further expansions or DLC's will be released because another CP game is in development. Hope you won't attempt the same thing again.

For those with the original game only, will there be an option to buy the upgrade to the ultimate edition or it is the same as buying the Phantom Liberty DLC?
It's merely a bundle. Given that CDPR is more than ready to move on, understandable but there's still work to be done(clearly it won't be), and the Game Director confirmed more than once there won't be any more large patches or additions - there's nothing substantial to differentiate this from what already exist.

Bugfixes it all it needs. They basically remixed the game with 2.00, so they knew that a lot of new/old bugs will pop-in. It would be a dumb move to let them be and just move on.

Wow! I can't wait to buy a disk that contains an installer to download a game I already own! Thanks CDPR, I can really see why you were nominated for best community support, churning out this rather than fixing the myriad of bugs that the game still has and broken systems that were introduced in patch 2.0.

Ultimate Edition is a good news and so on and more than welcomed but CDPR what about new patch ?

For patch 2.02 CDPR created separate thread and it was actually right idea, separate thread for upcoming patch with short list of changes ahead. Could you please continue in this way?

It is obvious that nobody awaits any new massive add-on so would be very pleasant to see roadmap for upcoming patches - like fixing a lot of new bugs starting from 2.00 and old bugs, addition of FSR3, etc.

You definitely can keep a small internal team of skillful employees for tuning patches for some time and keep community up to date here.

TLDR; Yeah, I get you but there's precedent for this very thing.

I agree with everything you've said here. While some choices irk me, I don't expect or demand they add anything else to game really... especially given they have a propensity to add things before fixing the already existing thing - creating more problems. And yet, that's just what they did with TW3 NGE. They tweaked and added features yet refused to address a handful of obvious bugs, some bugs modders fixed even before the final patch to that game.

While it's not their community manager's fault nor responsibility, @Lilayah confirmed on Twitter that a notable RT bug was fixed. This was later called out in the patch 2.01 patch notes, yet it remains perfectly bugged outside of the mainquests (though it crops up there in some instances as well) this is a top a few already existing RT bugs they seem to have no interests in dealing with. So whoever was responsible for this issue is just bullshitting the tasks or they're not going to deal with it and just work around it.

It's not a surprise given CDPR has shown they're capable of incredible things, but more often than not they will do nearly everything except the thing they said they will do. An obvious example being they'll dramatically remix the entire combat system of the game to where it's unrecognizable, but they won't touch the simple mechanism that causes NCPD response even in the badlands.

There is good news though as myself and another modder have taken it upon ourselves to address several RT bugs and you can grab our mods on Nexus. I'm sure it won't stop there and other will start mopping up once we know whether or not we'll be wasting our time once the final update drops on Dec 5th.

For the same reason some people bought The Witcher 3 GOTY edition... (the same for most of GOTY/Special/Legendary/Whatever edition for games). About the witcher, I already had the base game, both expansions and all free DLCs, so no need to buy the same content again. So the same for Cyberpunk, I already have everything which is included "ultimate edition", no need to purchase the same content.

only on PC version is ultimate. not for a console version.
there is no FOV slider, terrible right stick dead zone...
It's always make pain for me.

As a manly man who is totally 100% straight, I hate seeing chicks in video game covers

Who would be on Tomb Raider? :)

For me it depends on the games but in this case (CP2077) there should have been both genders.

wow... that is a good point. DAM! But if they would put the older versions in this and they ran with no launcher or for steam I would buy it.

Personally don't get the woke comments, as Valerie being on the front cover has nothing to do with wokeness when a vast majority of players simply love the character and praise the performance.

Cherami Leigh is an incredibly talented actress with a very rich vocal and emotional range, so for a vast majority of people she is THE VOICE of the game for which she even received the prestigious BAFTA nomination.

Vincent was on the cover during release, the only V that got an actual cinematic trailer ever and even has a statue as a part of the collector's edition, whereas Valerie never received either of the two. She eventually got on the cover and stayed there for a long time now to promote the game.

The spot is legitimately well deserved in my opinion and it would be silly of CDPR not to use the more universally praised protagonist to promote the game, especially when people love the character.

I don't think this game really paints any political sides in a positive light tbh. Seems like human nature is equally portrayed as pretty shitty no matter what flavor it comes in.

Feel free to keep dunking on each other though, it's always entertaining and you look super cool doing it.

The PC version is the Ultimate Edition.
The console version is not the Ultimate Edition.

There is no FOV slider in the console version.
Controls suffer from a terrible right stick dead zone.

Unless CDPR fixes the two problems above, the console version will never be ULTIMATE.

At least for me.

I'm actually amazed that CDPR have added the PL expansion as a code in the box for PS5, never saw that one coming. I can understand a lot of other gaming companies doing it but not CDPR. That's me passing on the console version anyway. Maybe there'll be another edition one day where it's all on the disc? It seems rushed for Christmas too, I honestly thought the best idea would be to get a few more small patches done and then do this next year.

There's a fair few on twitter that are trying to work out what's going on and not happy but we still don't have any real answers. Marcin Momot said it's due to technical requirements but that's not gone well as it doesn't really make anything clearer. I get the feeling he's kind of stuck saying that though and hopefully someone can be more open about what's happened at some stage.

Like with Skyrim the pc version with mods will always be the main version I play but I stayed away from mods when playing PL if I remember rightly and it was mostly fine, so if PL had been added to the disc I'd have looked forward to having a console version too.

I still don't see much sense in why I got a PS5 but maybe Baldur's Gate 3 physical edition will make up for some of that if I get it at some stage.
